He is buying shares. ALR is set to convert debt into up to 12 million shares at around 1.5 US cents --- as soon as approved at EGM.

Why buy on the open market when he can get it cheap via agreed mates' rates....

Wells filed another SEDI report. Too bad he is not buying shares at this time, as that would add to the optimism.

The share price and trend line have been on average circa 1.5p for most of half a year, that was before the gas contract got cancelled, before the EGG court case and before a bunch of dilution happened at around 1.5p, so I imagine progress will depend on actual progress, i.e. something that takes us beyond the known knowns of the last year or so.

The bandages aren't off yet TI, we need some news on funding and the arbitration proceedings etc, to give a definite YES to a healthy future IMO

TI,
Your stats are encouraging as volume has risen due to increased interest brought about by an improvement in confidence. Buys exceed sells !.
The ICA agreement is the first of positive news, I hope !.
Let's wait for the next positive move !.

Kazakhstan to stop regulating gasoline prices at the state level

Posted on December 11, 2016 by KazCham
Centil Law Firm BI@centil.law

The Kazakh government will terminate the state regulation of AI-80 gasoline prices starting from 2017, according to the Kazakh Energy Ministry. There are plans to lift the ban on the export of light oil products by 2019.

In August 2016, Kazakhstan stopped regulating diesel fuel prices, and stopped regulating AI-92/93 gasoline prices even earlier in September 2015. Due to the decision to deregulate the price of AI-92 gasoline and diesel fuel, the risk of the deficit of petroleum, oil and lubricants decreased to a minimum.

No probs Rhuvaal. My comments are frustration towards the board no doubt felt by many long term holders.

Unfortunately a lot of us did our research a few years ago.

The tide is turning positive for this company though under new management.

Go easy TI ~ a previous poster would have bought in, but for your mile-long diatribe... That's what he wrote anyway. I bought last @ 1.1p

Russ Hammond, an elderly gent and non-exec in the past, told me (when in Georgia) so it happens: "Don't invest more than you can afford to lose in O&G". Terribly painful
lesson I had to learn when the drill bit fell off blocking the hole near target depth.
We both lost and heavily.

By all means shout out your frustration but there should come a time of acceptance
at where we are now. Those buying could well double, even more, I hope so.

Please give it a rest meantime: we all need a lot of hair on our chests to survive.
Any more colourful stuff and I shall use the filter button = for my own sanity

The TSX share price will no doubt magically drop before close to match LSE. Probably a single 1000 sell by TD Securities

Looks like our Canadian brethren got a bit excited - back up to 0.03 CAD, equivalent of 1.8 pence.

Just like completing a J Puzzle, ICA has been put in the right spot, maintenance work on the wells has been done, next, solution to EGG oil dispute, then resolution of short term loans issues related to Cayman, AGR Energy, Olisol WC , followed by cash plan for 2017 to drill shallow wells !.
I am expecting the Kumars to keep on adding value to TPL at each stage !.
Watch the share price react positively !.

Casual in one of my co's we deal in such type of countries, and for sure you need on the ground people to do day-to-day business as, giving orders from London or NY would have no effect at all.

And as with all these countries the brown envelope still exists in many quarters, not all but is by no means stamped out as a way of conducting business.

The merger thought may well play out with the new 'investors' now on board as for sure, there is far far more to them coming in now, than for just putting a few quid in to steady the ship. The simple fact that they have been given a large chunk of the co. was, imo, for getting this contract & quite a few other points back on track.

Theres still plenty more to play out yet, lets just hope that Wells/May keep up the good work they achieved to date.

Getting the gas supply contract reactivated is a major success. There is plenty more to do, but let us not be despondent.A turning point in the company's fortunes may have occurred.

Just letting off steam, D64. I'm relieved the gas contract has been established, but after all that's happened somehow I just can't find it within myself to jump for joy.

Re. the "what if" -- TPL themselves keep putting the emphasis on the need for strong in-country partners and the valuable help they are getting from their partners. It makes the whole thing pretty opaque as it means that as an investor you really cannot rely on "DYOR" of RNS releases and balance sheets because there is this vague in-country element over which TPL doesn't seem to have control yet which can decide whether or not TPL gets to trade their gas/have access to their bank accounts. It's the tail wagging the dog. It would make a merger scenario so much more attractive so that this vague element gets brought in-house and we can get some transparancy on that.

casual, they've only just in the last hour announced that the gas contract is back on, and that everything has been resolved to everyones wishes.

Now your saying 'what if' the strategic partners interest don't align to TPL in the future, give them a break please, its only been an hour!!

Why not instead let the new board concentrate on what they are doing, i.e.. resolving all these issues and in turn, hopefully, working again towards a shallow drill programme. Can you not give them that for an hour or more?

Great news. Shows that they have some clout, a gas supply contract with China would go down well about now!

casual, I'm told that now Kenneth is back in the country that further news and/or replies to my contact should be this week.

So, now we have the gas contract back on and appears that Olisols fraudulent attempts to take TPL out or down, or both, have totally & utterly failed.

If we can now get back on track and with further funding start the shallow well programme, I can see the share price rising accordingly.

Naimanka, have you contacted the BoD's yet?

Any idea who the "strategic in-country partners" are?
