Hmm,

You have to laugh.

IMO Being a Long Term Holder in TERN is akin to:

1) Having a revolving accumulator bet in which you are betting on the darkest of dark horses (TERNs portfolio of companies - unquoted, private limited firms with only the most rudimentary reporting requirements, and no revenue or profitability visibility whatsoever).
2) With a rather shady bookie who has the capacity to lengthen or shorten the odds and give a portion of your bet away to someone else on a whim (who could I possibly be referring to here? LOL) when their back is against the wall (as it undoubtedly will be again).

Those who crow the loudest in this kind of 'investment' are seasoned traders who look to play the volatility of the share in both directions to their advantage, and a small number of whom look to prey on muppets urging them to to 'get on board' to provide an inward bound upward ratchet and a downward bound cushion of slow to react (I'm not selling until I can get my money back!) 'marks' who provide increases in wealth while reducing risk (for the more agile, or more connected).

If you are one of these chuko1 me lad, the cost may not be apparent to you now, but like icarus it may well one day become all too apparent.

That is of course not allowing for the fact that one hardly ever meets a provably 'successful' gambler (where do they all go??) other than it would seem, on the forums of ADVFN and the like, where it seems that everyone has a view on why everyone else should come on in and join them in the lovely water on the latest POC they have just invested in??

If you cannot see the agenda, you are beyond help.
