Held here since 2009, just heard UW advert on local Heart radio down here in Brighton. I see the odd mini with advertising on and occasional stands at retail estates etc…
Very few people in this area of heard of UW so more awareness can only be a positive imo.

As a TEP customer for over 20 years, I would have thought public awareness of the brand could only be of benefit to agents trying to recruit customers.

Look what happened to Friends Provident when they moved away from the Agent model!

For me, the market opportunities peaked last year along with the business model - particularly if they're trying to acquire new customers on line which the agents won't like.

What about today - does it still strike people as good value?

Taken my first stake today. Looks reasonable value at 1510 with a decent covered yield.

a bounce or breach of 1500?

Looking cheap with yield above 5% which is where I have always bought this share. A bit cautious as the share has been dropping sharply and executive share sales. Thinking of dipping my toe

The drop might have been in anticipation of the price cap

years ago TEP was a growth company year on year, from £7 to £18 I remember. however growth with distributors could only go so far as people chose cheap gas and electric over customer service

Don't know with this one, I've got a target price based on historical average PE of about 30x (giving a TP circa £28), but I'm realising that what was the norm at virtually zero interest rate environments is not applicable now, is it fair to rate this at its 5 year low of 25x (multi utility industry median rating is 23x)?

maybe a drop to sept 2020 lows, I'd buy in 1650 ish and def 1600!

dont know, ngas prices still low, tep a defensive stock, but it's also under the 200ma and all others

they are now advertising mainstream too, however it's upset some distributors as the sign up gets allocated to group leaders, so the peeps on other levels are not allowed to access these people

I am really at a loss as to the big swings in the share price given that it is a steady earner. Is it worth £14, £17, £21, £30 .......?
Ex Div not far off anyway so might rise towards then.

I am looking at the re-entering the price from last year autumn might see a bounce. If not, it's good value from here.

The proof in the pudding will be for TEP getting back to being a growth company, it got so far and kind of stalled. I wonder if one day they will ditch network marketing and try something different?

Anyone have any idea why the drop here? Is it sentiment again as I couldn't see anything negative that is leading to this downward momentum. Maybe some profit taking too.

NT's average price would be a lot lower than 2280.Would say £17 is very cheap, but it's not about fundamentals it's about sentiment and technical signals. I'm no TA expert though but do believe they are self fulfilling in many instances.

So given it's retraced from the high, is £17 fair value? (who knows of course.)
I see the nakedtrader bought last november at 2280. Would be unusual for him to buy at too high a price unless it was a ramp! Maybe he thought at the time energy companies would continue to cream it from customers.
