01/10/2007 18:02 | poor set of results -- one new restaurant opened in first 6 months and 2 more anticipated by year end (calendar). only restaurant outside south east is nottingham and that is not doing well -- so roll out nationally could (and probably will be an issue) this is certainly no ask or prezzo or pizza express nor a wagamama looks like the kaye's may have some dim-sum on their .... | bigboyo
07/7/2007 22:06 | It may have little to do with standards and a lot to do with the economic outlook. Which is outside of the managements control. | wowy
06/7/2007 13:00 | Current spread 110-127. No wonder no one buying at present. | liveinhope
06/7/2007 11:02 | Shares still going southwards. Like haroldthegreat points out, surely family pedigree will not tolerate such low standards as reputation at stake. | liveinhope
02/7/2007 11:52 | At last we have something happening on their web-site, albeit just a pleasing picture. | liveinhope
19/6/2007 10:37 | if thats the case this is going to be a short lived venture. i am surprised given the family pedigree in catering that the allow such sloppy presentation/quality you can supply poor quality food only once to a customer , there are loads of opposition out there and a bad reputation spreads. i will watch but will not invest | haroldthegreat
18/6/2007 13:57 | Haroldthegreat my previous post did say (euphamistically ! and in a typically welsh understated way !) very very average ---- maybe one needs to call a spade a spade as master gill has done | bigboyo
13/6/2007 16:55 | this is why i asked if anyone had been there. one should not buy a share without trying the product. i also dont like the idea of directors buying a site and selling it to the company. | haroldthegreat
13/6/2007 12:20 | tiredoldbroker - well spotted. Hope Tatsy plc management act on this wake up call immediately. Share price has gone southwards today. No surprise given the dire review. | liveinhope
10/6/2007 10:33 | Crushingly bad review in The Times today, at (though you have to plough through several irrelevant paragraphs to get to the bit about Dim-T). I particularly liked "The nicest thing you could say about the dim sum is that it was what you imagine dog food would be like if it was stuffed into wet Wonder Bread and steamed until it gave up". | tiredoldbroker
23/5/2007 11:16 | Haroldthegreat very very average and small portions !! long way to reach wagamama standard | bigboyo
20/5/2007 08:32 | anyone tried the food? was it good, and good value for money? likely to encourage return visits? | haroldthegreat
18/5/2007 16:44 | bigboyo - beg to differ. Have probably spotted some good sites and need to move quickly. Right issue or underwritten placing would have cost more money and in case of first option would have taken longer. On balance pleased they have raised monies in way they have. | liveinhope
18/5/2007 13:07 | bigboyo - not a rights issue (bet lots of existing shareholders wish it was) but a placing which the Company indicates that it has received informal commitments for all the New Shares and hopes to announce this at AGM on 25/05/2007. Share price now holding at about 150-160p level which seems to indicate news well received. Once again the chosen few benefit by being able to buy at 110p. I hope they spend a bit of the money raised on completing their web-site, or at the very least up-date it to indicate which outlets are currently open. | liveinhope
17/5/2007 09:52 | deeply discounted rights issue --- not a good sign or easy money for some ?? | bigboyo
18/4/2007 15:24 | i have got a good idea , find an empty site with no or little premium, buy it ,then inflate the price and sell it to a company that i am a director of. what do you think of this idea? or should the directors appoint agents to find sites that the directors do not have an interest in? | haroldthegreat
17/4/2007 08:25 | Results announced today. "Tasty FY pretax loss 174,000 stg vs profit 141,000 stg; sales up 33 pct LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Tasty PLC slipped to a pretax loss for the year to Dec 31, partly blaming later than expected openings of new sites, including two which opened only in December. It said it plans to open two new restaurants within the next two months bringing total units in operation to eight. Tasty, which floated on AIM last year, said pretax loss was 174,000 stg, compared with a profit of 141,000 stg last year. Its pretax profit before exceptional costs of the flotation and share options were 82,000 stg, against 141,000 stg in the prior year, while turnover rose 33 pct to 2.68 mln stg." | liveinhope
21/2/2007 08:46 | wowy the dates are leases entered into in feb 06 sep 06 jan 07 that means only one new restaurant -- others are existing you will note that the kayes could be introduced to am empty freehold property and they could buy knowing that there will be a likely increase in capital value upon entering into a 25 year lease with a plc which they or related parties control would want to see an independent auditor assessment of this practice just to ensure that governance procedures are sound | bigboyo
17/2/2007 19:46 | Bigboyo They still seem to be adding sites as I assume at least the 29/01/07 lease must be an additional unit even if the others are already operating. So I assume we do not have dim-sum fatigue. Tasty plc announces today that the group has entered into three lease agreements with KLP, a limited partnership wholly-owned by Sam Kaye and Adam Kaye, both of whom are directors of the Company. These leases are for new Dim T restaurants and were entered into on 21 February 2006, 28 September 2006 and 29 January 2007. Premiums have been paid on each of the leases, being #90,000, #96,000 and #98,000 respectively. | wowy
15/2/2007 20:25 | worrying that loughton and gloucester road which were mentioned to open before nottingham or tooley street have still not opened is there a potential roll out problem -- too many dim-sums chasing too few baskets ? :-) | bigboyo
09/2/2007 12:16 | Looks like 6 restaurants open so far. Please can people advise when further outlets open. Thanks. | liveinhope
09/2/2007 12:16 | wowy - sincere thanks. Pleasing reviews looking at the link you sent. Similar for Nottingham accorging to | liveinhope |
