ninja 19: a bit toppy for me. With dear leader Kim about to nuke the world, who wants to risk it on this shares. Look at the share price, peaked
battlebus2: Tarsus is an international B2B media group with interests in exhibitions, conferences, publishing and online media. As a result of its two largest events (The Dubai airshow and Labelexpo Europe) occurring bi-annually, results are biased towards odd numbered years. The 7 January trading update suggested 2012 results will be in line with market expectations. Encouragingly, Tarsus revealed that its target to derive 50% of its revenue from Emerging Markets by 2013, Project 50/13, had been completed over a year ahead of schedule through organic growth and acquisitions. WHAT WE LIKE Over the last three years the shares, up more than 80% have consistently outperformed the market, mirroring the company's continued Tarsus Group (TRS) Increasing Emerging Markets Exposure FTSE Small Cap – Share price: 21.5p Market Cap: £206m Estimates (Dec) 2012 (E) 2013 (E) 2014 (E) Revenues (£m) 50.1 71.5 54.6 PBT (£m) 13.9 22.8 16.0 EPS (p) 11.4 18.5 12.6 P/E (x) 18.9 11.6 17.0 Dividend (p) 6.6 6.9 7.3 Yield (%) 3.0 3.2 3.4 Source: FactSet Research Systems consensus forecasts, Analyst: Derren Nathan growth. 2012 forecasted PBT of £13.9m equates to a four year CAGR of 25%. Whilst the recent strategy has been to build the platform, the focus is now switching to maximising the return from the company's operational assets in high growth markets or 'quickening the pace' of EPS growth, principally by driving visitor growth and further increasing USA and Emerging Market revenue share. As demonstrated by the 51% acquisition of Indonesian exhibition organiser PT Infrastructure Asia on 16th January, Tarsus is still in the market for opportunistic bolt on acquisitions. On a blended 2013/14 P/E multiple of 14.3x, Tarsus trades at a small premium to its peers. Given the new strategic phase and exposure to growth economies we believe there is scope for upgrades to forecasts. The shares also yield 3%.
sheik yerbouti: Ex date is 25th March. Historic yield over 8% at these levels. 6.37p dividend forecast for this year gives a yield of about 8.7%. That should give some support to the share price. Tarsus not exposed to the UK economy which is good news.
billbyrne: westcoastrich Yes, nice small moves up, not attracting the pump and dumpers. Just the way I like it. Sudden moves result in volitility. Value will out itself in the end. I,ve followed Tarsus for a few years now and been in and out at a profit. I think the current price is to low. Its a good business with good management and trading inline, as all the RNS statements have said. I bought again at just over 50p and added again at just over 56p last week. Results are out on the 3rd March. The interim dividend was increased by a third, will the final dividend be increased by the same, we will have to wait and see, even if it is maintained at 5p it is still a return of over 7%. We are also coming into a period that is normally busier as this paragraph from the trading statement points out. Outlook for 2009 Within each two-year cycle, odd years are by far the larger in profit terms for the Group as they contain both Labelexpo Europe (in September) and the Dubai Air Show (in November). Bookings for both of these biennial events remain strong. Having dropped from over 250p I think their is further upside in the share price, but what do I know. I have been possitive on other shares only to see them go down. This is a very difficult time for investers, as always be careful and do your own researce. Good luck
billbyrne: A nice steady rise again today. With just under 62,000,000 shares in issue any small but consistant buying will push the share price upwards.
billbyrne: Any views on this, The reduction of capital has created distributable reserves of £39,065,048.80 for New Tarsus to utilise for dividend payments and share re-purchases in the medium to long term. This alone distributed between the 62,000,000 ordinary shares in issue works out at 0.62p per share. Could we see a special dividend paid. If its used to re-purchase shares its going to buy them all at todays share price. Or have I got this wrong.
billbyrne: Bought in this morning, for the dividend return firstly but it is my opinion that the share price has been dragged down with the market. Every trading statement has been inline with managements expectations. The full year divi last year was 5p, the interim divi this year was increased by a third, if the full year divi is increased inline with that we could have a full year divi of over 6p. Not a bad return. We could see the share price move up in advance of year end also. Just my take on the current situation, if it materialises it will be the first time I have got it right for what seems ages. AIMHO
billbyrne: Did the New Tarsus shares get admitted for trading yesterday, I did not see a RNS. This share price fall looks way over done to me. IMHO
ian.g: oscar, lol - judging from the share price increase during the day a few more have as well...
battlebus: Excellent results today, Share price has still further to go, plus maiden interim dividend a bonus.
