26/1/2017 08:19 | It wasn't a secret... Snorkel was bought as an add on to their existing Upright brand | puffintickler
26/1/2017 08:08 | I didn't know this. Tanfield bought Snorkel for $100m back in the day. hxxp://www.globalcap | theklf
25/1/2017 18:41 | Not really a volume of deals that would be significant enough for Ahern! Still, indicates a bit of interest which might indicate something. | puffintickler
25/1/2017 17:07 | Someone mopping up all the shares thrown at them at 13p today Exchange rate looks like it's now moving away from the lows, is adhern watching this and realising time is running out at favourable rates to him. | steveglobal4
25/1/2017 00:56 | I'm surprised now that its taken this long, adhern either wants all of it or maybe considering selling snorkel and having a share out with tan, something gotta give soon. | steveglobal4
24/1/2017 08:39 | Trump reflation trade looks a real thing? He had major Industry leaders in yesterday. Expect boom in US construction. Any hope for this now ? | theklf
19/1/2017 16:05 | I agree that we will see a try to take the Snorkel position at s value around book. Whether the large shareholders will accept is yet to be seen. But as the stock has performed, or rather underperformed, I guess many will accept and move on. | multiplural
19/1/2017 15:33 | IMHO Ahern will take this out at circa 30p in the near future, Etc see what happens to exchange rates after the inauguration? | a2584728
18/1/2017 07:21 | I am sure there are plenty of existing holders ready to come out at these levels. I agree however that selling in the market ( see the shares sold yesterday , 125k) bring the market value to even more depressed levels. Likewise buying substantial levels in the market will have the opposite effect.Time will tell. | donemyhomework2
18/1/2017 06:03 | Doubt it he would need to buy 30-40% of Tan shares and the price would sky rocket | dave224
16/1/2017 13:42 | Then we still own 49% of a great company, and can sell to anyone. But obviously there is only one buyer for this, and that is Ahern. Snorkel is the only company in his portfolio he doesn't own 100% yet. | multiplural
16/1/2017 13:35 | Thank you for that explanation - I hope the board at Tanfield get them and do some due dilegence on our behalf. I like you have checked with a friend in the industry and it seems that the access industry is doing well as rental firms buy new kit on cycular basis and the kit bought after the recession is being replaced again. If Ahern doesn't buy the 49% 5 years after the sale - what happens then? | boboty
16/1/2017 11:54 | We cannot get hold of the Snorkel accounts. It is a private company, and the accounts are not publicised. The only loophole to get some idea is to get hold of Aherns accounts. That is equally hard as it is a private company as well. I found out that holders of the bonds Ahern have issued get the accounts. The only problem is I have not yet been able to buy any of the issued bonds, and that the bondholders are prevented from making the accounts public. It is obviously a disgrace that Tanfield is not updated on Snorkels performance regularly. And it is similarly disgracefull that whatever small piece of info they might get is not conveyed to us asap. From talking to various industry proffessionals it is my belief that Snorkel is doing very well, and it is my hope that we will see movement from Ahern soon. But truly annoying that we have almost no direct info on our very major asset. | multiplural
16/1/2017 11:25 | Does anyone know if and where we can get hold of accounts for Snorkel and if they are audited - and how costs are allocated between Extreme and Snorkel and any other entities Ahern owns. There is a worrying lack of information. Tanfield accounts tell me very little. Thanks in advance for any help | boboty
16/1/2017 07:45 | Good point Steve. I think he already have bought the rest in his plans, and now just needs to pay up. See the below extract from the website: Ahern Australia is a member of the Ahern Group, which is a privately owned global company with annual revenues in excess of US$650M, incorporating Snorkel, Xtreme Manufacturing and Ahern Rentals. | multiplural
16/1/2017 00:55 | Ahern Australia is the new name for Snorkel Australia. hxxp://www.ahernaust how can they change the snorkel name without paying up? or have then just taken snorkel australia for free. | steveglobal4
16/1/2017 00:48 | looking at the 'our history' section on snorkel site, tanfield don't exist, hxxp://www.snorkelli | steveglobal4
13/1/2017 01:32 | multi, i posted similar comments a few months or so ago here, so agree with you there. steveglobal48 Sep '16 - 08:35 - 1953 of 2047 0 0 Edit Surely they cannot mix and share staff between the company's while Tanfield still owns half of snorkel, this tells me it's coming every soon surely | steveglobal4
23/12/2016 01:51 | Exchange rate is back on for adhern | steveglobal4
21/12/2016 06:19 | If Ahern is going to go public, he would use the money raised to buy Snorkel after and not before imho | dave224
20/12/2016 12:37 | Multi where did you hear that rumour? | dave224
20/12/2016 10:43 | To me the move today underlines my thoughts on the way this company's stock price is behaving. I am sure the market maker have one of these strange orders to sell as little as possible at as low a price possible, and keep a lid on. Just makes me more and more convinced that things will happen in the not too distant future. If Ahern, as rumoured in the states, is going to get public in 2017 I am sure he will want to own all of Snorkel, and obviously have an interest to keep our dear company's price depressed. | multiplural |
