Haitong don't give up do they? Having "won" by seeing their longstanding 150p price target hit, I see they have subsequently reduced it, to 125p and then to 115p by the look of it.

Ratings reported as coming out after the latest TU according to N&P are:

224p Hold Berenberg (9th Feb)
115p Sell Haitong (8th Feb)
185p Buy Beaufort (2nd Feb)
175p Hold HSBC (2nd Feb)

"a useless investment except for gamblers"

No different to the rest of the stock market then?

Some peddling of good news regarding TT. But still think this is aa useless investment except for gamblers. My views, but they are the Darkest Blackest for this.

I haven't read the whole article but I would have thought they might be thinking about what happens after the final dividend for FY17. i.e. that Dunstone might "rebase" the dividend to a more appropriate level going forward, starting with the interim for FY18, in the context of refocusing the company on growth.

looks like they can`t read down at the telegraph.

01 February 2017 Trading Statement

As previously indicated, the strong re-contracting activity, while delivering sustainable long term benefits in the form of a more stable and higher quality base, will impact current year revenue and EBITDA. As a result, we expect FY EBITDA to be in line with previous guidance. As previously announced we expect the Final dividend for FY17 to be unchanged year-on-year at 10.58p

Talk gets a buy recommendation in today's Telegraph Questor column

Says a dividend cut is already expected but otherwise very bullish

Thanks. Forward guidance in May suggested in call but I guess for beyond July.

They confirmed on Wednesday divi is 10.58p for July

If they suspended the divi I do think that would lead to another downleg in the share price but I feel that cutting it to around 5% is pretty much in the price.

Dividend guidance to follow in May. IMO likely to be re-based rather than suspended, which should provide support, as a bit of realism/prudence would be well received. Looking through last accounts it seems a typical case of too much debt, reducing reserves, banking covenants becoming stretched, etc. I hope Charles D gets under the bonnet and clears out any dead wood.

I agree, frankly she was way too well paid, and all those shares, the whole world is the same, the ordinary guy is just being bled dry, personally it's friggin ridiculous that interest rates are where they are now, it is going to end in catastrophe when no one has any money left except FB, Apple and Google, why do people spend so much on a telephone and then replace it at the end of the contract with another £600 wedge!

Baroness Harding walks away with £8m, I'm left nursing a £5k loss.

Ok we all know investing can be sh1t at times but this is ridiculous.

The regulator has the job of enabling competition in the telecoms sector. I'm surprised that any journo doesn't realise that these days mergers would have a hell of a lot of hurdles to cope with. If a foreign telco wanted talk, then they'd only get it at a very high premium imv. If the journos were somehow implying talk would have problems making a decent profit, then the regulator would step in to alter conditions so they would make a sustainable profit and keep telecoms a competitive market imv, but of course talk don't need that, they will do very well all on their own.

Comment in the papers today suggesting that Dunstone will try and engineer either a buyout or a merger as the business will struggle as an independent.
