Invesco

Morningstar is showing Invesco as holding 104m shares (over 10%) as of the end of March 2016 (click on the "institutions" tab on the "Equity ownership" section of the linked page). The last "official" news I saw was in the annual report where they were shown as 6.75% as of about 1 year ago (15th April 2015).

If this is correct, then it further adds to the concentration of shareholdings.

Short positions / SOL

We have 4.3% declared short positions:
2.2% Eminence
1.5% Odey
0.6% Citadel

According to Euroclear we had 90m (c. 9%) shares on loan average during March.

But we also have around 60% of the shares in the hands of just Dunstone, Ross, the ESOT and Capital.

Now even for shorters with deep pockets, the sort of strong move up we've seen recently combined with the potential lack of "available" shares must be a cause for concern mustn't it?

1gw, small scale shorters will be anxious to close and protect profits.
Larger scale prob have an exit strategy. Could still be some fireworks though...

1gw, judging by thr posts here I'd say most serious pi shorters have closed to protect whats left of their gambling pot, leaving just the penny per point potty punters. I think the institutional shorters are a different kettle of fish with deeper pockets so still look forward to them throwing in the towel.

People go on about shorting like it's a guaranteed money spinner but one surprise takeover bid and you're going to lose your shirt big time.

Although it confirmed its validity, the DBottom has so far failed to perform.
The INVH&S has not quite confirmed yet. share price supported by the 50sma is encouraging.
