07/4/2016 09:29 | Looks like we're finally breaking through the 90p level, divi still up for grabs too. | ivancampo
06/4/2016 16:37 | Explain please...? | gargoyle2
06/4/2016 15:06 | Did you mean 22 Bishopsgate? | sspurt
06/4/2016 14:29 | Thanks to the 22 Broadgate decision today. | tuscan4
06/4/2016 14:05 | Looks ready to move ??? | ivancampo
30/3/2016 13:06 | Nice to see Miton our biggest shareholder adding. They appear to have picked up 855k shares in the last year and moved from 12% to 15% and are quite happy adding as the price is rising, adding some more after the recent Final results. Mr. 50k seller at around 90 has gone away today. Not sure what that means but I see most buyers aren't getting much of a discount to the offer even with the current large spread. | cc2014
29/3/2016 13:12 | Our 50k fake seller started at 92 early. It's got a bit bolder now and moved to 90. Watch it run away as the bid rises | cc2014
26/3/2016 05:46 | Good stuff, your theory makes more sense. Should result in a deserved move higher. | ivancampo
25/3/2016 16:37 | I believe the seller is likely to be Chelverton T/A Small Companies Dividend Trust. I would suggest that as the price has gone up and the dividend hasn't CTO no longer fulfills their investment criteria First sale here on 7th January: So £1.2m shares as at 7th January, lots of 250k trades and a 200k. It all fits. I would surmise that on the basis the MM's are desperately trying to keep the price down Chelverton have none left and the MM's either still have an order to fill or they need the shares to balance their books. Roll on next week. I'm excited to see how the price action pans out. | cc2014
25/3/2016 02:59 | I could, of course, have had too many Bintangs....... | ivancampo
25/3/2016 01:01 | Looking at recent trades, there's been 3 x 250k today plus there was two more 200k plus trades just prior to results. That's block trades totalling approx 1.2m. Danny Robson had circa 1.4m and since 21st is no longer a director, as no notice period seemed to have been given, therefore no requirement to update market as a director and holding less than 5%. It looks to me that he's a long way to offloading his total holding and if this is the case the price will spike considerably higher soon. | ivancampo
24/3/2016 19:17 | Well once the bid at 89 got taken out and it was safe for the MM's to play they loaded an additional 50k sell at 90. Quite happy with today. The buyer at 89 today is an algorithm that's been running for about 3-4 weeks now. On Tuesday it will appear again starting at around half an penny above the main market-makers and walk the price up about a penny a day until it gets filled. I'll let someone else annoy the MM's Ivan - I have enough CTO already and they ain't getting mine until the price hits about 250p. | cc2014
24/3/2016 14:00 | Go on then!? | ivancampo
24/3/2016 13:42 | And so we get to back to the 90 area which we last had a stab at in mid November and mid January. It will be interesting to see how many sellers there are up here. Clearly the bid has been sitting at 89 all day with little selling pressure. The longer it stays here the more I'm of the opinion that we will get though 90 and then an easy ride to the psychological barrier of 100. The MM continue to try and rig it down by the placement of a stupidly large 50k sell order at 91 which always sits far enough away from the actual sell price that it's unlikely to get hit. A couple of days ago is was at 90 when the price was a couple of pence lower. It would make my day if someone filled their fake order! | cc2014
22/3/2016 13:23 | Speculating about what may or may not happen regarding such a shareholding is pointless. Too many personal variables some of which have been mentioned above, but quite a significant consideration will be the individual's capital gains tax position, though the change in rates next year might reduce the potential impact of that. | grahamburn
22/3/2016 12:29 | We can only speculate what he'll do with the shares. When he sold his business to CTO in 2008 he received GBP 1.8 million in cash at closing, plus the shares, with a further payment of up to GBP 2.2 million payable after that, depending on results. I didn't go back to see how much of that deferred element had actually been paid. Plus he's had some good dividends over the years. | gargoyle2
22/3/2016 11:53 | Agreed, don't see this causing an overhang. Fingers crossed. | ivancampo
22/3/2016 11:49 | He hasn't sold in the last 6 years so clearly he doesn't need the money with any urgency. I have no idea of his personal circumstances but I expect it's a case of don't want a large proportion of his assets in one company so at some point he will sell some. I don't think he'll be in a hurry though - first of all he'd have to find a better home for the money and will he probably be comfortable enough of the future of the company over a three year time horizon. | cc2014
22/3/2016 11:13 | I agree that the sale of that sized shareholding should be managed. Not surprising if he does decide to sell though - he just won't have the same visibility on how the company is performing. | gargoyle2
22/3/2016 10:16 | Surely that sort of exit would be managed via hopefully hungry institutions - and why sell now in any great size? | ivancampo
22/3/2016 09:45 | Sorry that Danny Robson is leaving the company. He was the only director with any real shareholding (above 3% if I remember correctly, might be wrong). If he's planning to sell out -- which will likely be the case -- that's going to be an overhang for a while. | gargoyle2
22/3/2016 09:43 | If this is the reaction to a distinctly low-key (deliberate? ) set of results just imagine what will happen when the 2016 numbers emerge. If the group are going to achieve (say) EPS of 15p plus this year WHY oh WHY didn't they tweak the final dividend , even if only by 0.1p ? Also, should we be worried that Danny Robson is going? | tuscan4
22/3/2016 09:25 | Well based on these large late trades coming through ISDX all timed just after 9:00 so I assume an hour delayed and how much L2 has been loaded up with stupidly large sell orders I assume MM's are looking for stock to square their position | cc2014 |
