01/12/2015 13:20 | Del, I had a chance to congratulate Simon today on his new role and he seemed upbeat. The one issue I asked him to clarify was the reason behind the move over to the US by the current sales director. Simon pointed out that the US office has never had a full time manager and that while they have been looking at candidates they decided that the optimum solution was to move Andrew Jones across as this was a lower risk, more cost effective option than recruiting someone new. I asked Simon if they were still confident about the US opportunity and he reconfirmed that the opportunity in the US remained substantial and that they hoped the US sales would be exceeding the UK sales within a year, particularly now that Andrew Jones was there.GLAH | 140661
01/12/2015 11:04 | Is that an apology then Duncan? | the grim reaper1
01/12/2015 11:02 | I know what you are saying phowdo and have only just noticed that Andrew Jones has gone off to the States.Perhaps they need a kick up the backside there.Regardless of that, the city like PS and this will do the company no harm.I agree that MS is no ceo. | duncandisorderly
01/12/2015 10:57 | ^ Agreed(5382). The restructure sounds like a bit of a shake-up to address things that havent been going quite to plan. Always thought Seeman was more a CTO type guy than CEO but thats often a problem with tech startups - the founders always think they make good leaders when its rarely the case. There are positives in the news, in that they are correcting failings, but is it too late? | phowdo
01/12/2015 10:56 | Is that last comment aimed at me or have I missed something? | the grim reaper1
01/12/2015 10:52 | Post what you want Stig as I have you filtered. It says it all really when you have to make up a whole new avatar just to post on this site. | duncandisorderly
01/12/2015 10:49 | Secondment eh? I find that is usually a reaction where something has gone wrong or not performed as expected so I therefore expect some negative news from Boston sooner rather than later. | the grim reaper1
01/12/2015 10:42 | I bet we aren't the only ones Little Beaker. If PS contributes anything like IS Solutions this is the start of a very nice turnaround.Finger crossed. | duncandisorderly
01/12/2015 10:32 | Lol, I thought the exact same thing duncan! | little beaker
01/12/2015 08:06 | Very good news.Look at what Simmonds has done to other companies.I hope mark Seaman hasn't been caught with his pants down again if glassdoor or whatever it is called was to be believed, lol. | duncandisorderly
01/12/2015 07:57 | Agreed better news in a way 140661. BUT, what the heck is happening in the US??? They don't seem to be able to keep their head of sales over there. Was he pushed or did he jump? Those guys usually stay if they are earning enough commission on sales.... | deltrotter
01/12/2015 07:37 | This is the best news we have had for some time, Simmonds taking a far more important role. Simmonds has an excellent record with this type of company, we can safely assume he would not be taking this role unless he felt there was a bright future with Synety. GLAH | 140661
30/11/2015 11:34 | Thanks for sharing webpax, good viewing. Synety should be doing more of these. I'm a shareholder and work for a similar-ish high growth cloud communications company and we have seen partner webinars result in great lead flow as well as positioning us as thought leaders. Would be keen to see Synety do the same, no idea if their competition are. | jimbojet17
27/11/2015 11:23 | Great presentation showing the power of CloudCall: | webpax
25/11/2015 18:04 | Well the share price didn't move but a very positive day none the less.I am far happier now but we need some huge numbers. | duncandisorderly
25/11/2015 14:44 | another decent purchase by a non exec, that's around half a per cent they have bought in the last week, happy days. | 140661
25/11/2015 14:43 | Ah bless Sophie has bought some.Well she has done such a good job with new investment...Not.Min | duncandisorderly
25/11/2015 14:21 | Another director buy- Curiouser and curiouser. | tromso1
25/11/2015 14:21 | duplicate post | webpax
25/11/2015 14:21 | Agreed he's under no obligation to buy shares, however he's just cashed in £1m worth of DOTD shares and bought £50K worth of IS shares. It would have looked pretty bad if he hadn't also bought SNTY shares, £20k seems like a token gesture to me and all of the other director buys have been trivial too. Surely if cash flow break even was around the corner they would be filling their boots? These small buys along with rumours they are doing road shows in the city suggests to me they are looking to raise more cash. | webpax
25/11/2015 10:54 | tromso1, agreed, Simmonds is under no obligation to buy shares in Synety and has now invested around £60k in the Company in just over 6 months. If you consider the scenario of events over the next 6 months, we have the possibility of the company announcing that its plans are on target and that they will reach cash-flow break even without a further raise or that the plans our behind schedule and they need another placing. We can assume the directors are best placed to assess which of these options is most likely. The fact that the exec team and the key non exec have all bought shares in the last week suggests that a further fund raise in the near term is unlikely. If that is correct then the shares could be on for a very strong run as this business will start throwing off a lot of cash once it hits break even. | 140661
25/11/2015 09:21 | If he wasn't confident then he wouldn't have invested at all. Also possible that it could be the first in a series of purchases. | tromso1
25/11/2015 07:28 | So he's put 50k into IS but only 20k into Synety. Given that he's just raised a million pounds from selling DOTD shares I think this tells us all we need to know about his confidence in the future of Synety! | webpax
25/11/2015 07:21 | IS Solutions just announced that Simmonds purchased 50k shares yesterday taking his stake to 0.4%, after yesterday's purchase in Synety he owns 0.55%. Lets hope Synety is about to embark on a similar share price rise as IS.GLAH | 140661
24/11/2015 20:58 | 7 director buys since September. A fair bit of buying interest. | tromso1 |
