transvaal: The share price seems to be creeping up despite a very low turnover of stock. Seems the M M S are short of stock perhaps

mountain man: See my posting (20) - this time last year. DRC starting to turn around. This time next year with all three companies firing, albeit in difficlt times we will see significant improvement in the share price imho. I bought around 12p as a long term hold and beginning to pay off. DYOR

britishbear: Can anyone remind me what the share price would be in old money. I am a share holder for over 10 years and each year new problems seem to arise as they solve old ones. I think my average is 3p old money. I suspect we are still some way off that. Maybe this time they will make it.....

ranoszek: As expected not many tempted to take up their kind "offer" of shares?? Perhaps worried that their funds would go down the plug hole-- plumbing pun intended. Share price will get hammered .

dell314: RL - PMSL!! The SWP share price is depressed as a placing/rights issue is expected anytime. Buying now is a total gamble on the price of any such equity issue IMO. What made you buy these, apart from the sub penny price? Rgds dell

tom.b: This is a strange cookie.....been in the doldrums for years and really shouldn't be because they have good products and each part of the company is Industry Standard and leader in their particular fields. I think it must be the management that's lacking and maybe its time they moved on...this has the makings of a takeover - which should see a good upside to the share price DYOR.

britishbear: cossie, thanks for the post. Always looking to average down but also seen it as too high risk. You post suggests alot but reading between the lines does not necessarily mean that the share price will rise on the back of any news. The "behind the scenes" bit suggests the possibility of selling off a few bit or all of the company, a rights issue to raise capital OR a management buyout at 1.5p (which would be very annoying). Anywhere close?

britishbear: Just a thought - the move to AIM maybe a precurser to the selling off of all parts of SWP and returing cash to shareholders. The sale of assets including Fullflow of course should be worth significantly more than the current share price - large director buys at 2.5p means that the return amount is probably around 3-4p. Seems a bargain at this price.... -------------------------- From the IZO RNS.... In the short term the Board are considering moving the Company's quotation to AIM as an investment company which would involve the publication of an AIM admission document, which would then be sent to shareholders. The transfer to AIM is being considered due to the size of the Company and the fact it will otherwise become a fully listed cash shell. Such transfer does not preclude the return of cash to shareholders in the future.

SWP Group PLC Authoring Firm:Wright Reports Primary symbol:SWP=GB Released Date:15 April 2002 Document Language:English Purchase Price: £15.00 (Text Document) Anybody read it? It really must be good for the share price to double.
