09/6/2016 13:39 | Is PG getting out? Do we have a market overhang of 2.25 million shares looking for a new home? Does HAWK need cash? Market needs assurances that PG will not be a seller of stock in the near future. | countryman5
07/6/2016 17:25 | somebody taking advantage of recent share strength? | countryman5
06/6/2016 11:06 | Ok. --- I guess 1 question is how SWL production clients will view this big expansion in SWL own brands portfolio Fulltimeinvestors.co | smithie6
06/6/2016 10:17 | Privatepunter "Up 52% as I write " is phps misleading imo...phps alter or expand to clarify Otherwise fair comments imo. (Opening the link took me to different web page...hopefully your problem ! & not a virus on my device !) | smithie6
06/6/2016 10:09 | 5M PBT target for 2 yrs time Believe that when it happens ! Over optimistic imho. Although there cld be a jump in profit from acqsn if get 20% margin from taking on productn of turnover of acquisn.....in addition to profit of acqsn on its own. Quite a festival of opportunities for synergies I guess. | smithie6
06/6/2016 10:09 | wonder if those who took at 150p will start bailing here | abarclay
06/6/2016 10:05 | Wow.....a buy reported for 40k pnds at 210p !! Serious money | smithie6
06/6/2016 09:42 | Very good news this morning, added a few words. only just received the new numbers from Singer which sees the shares trading on a PER of 10 for next year, falling to near 8 in 2018, based on the latter's pre-tax £5.1m being pencilled in. | hastings
06/6/2016 09:39 | As an aside the RNS raises one repeating question on AIM. Should dirs. be allowed to buy at a lower price using insider information when loyal normal shareholders are not allowed to ? imho of course not, imho a form of corruption/fraud Especially when note that Company Act calls for equal treatment of all shareholders and for any benefits to go to existing shareholders rather than new ones who are mates of the co. broker or dirs. | smithie6
06/6/2016 09:15 | Minky.... Very illiquid share, ignored by the mkt....phps over next 1-3 yrs it might get more interest as its image to stock mkt changes a bit more to own brands. I dont hold directly. Good luck. --- btw if I remember correctly Baner is a > 3% holder. | smithie6
06/6/2016 09:12 | Hats off for the Chairman and CEO! What a fantastic Turn around they have made of this sleepy company since taking over from that horrible Sheena Winnings and her protegé McKinnon. On the basis of the new 2016/17 profit Forecast, and an appropriate PER for the growth consumer goods company that Swallowfield now is, these shares will trade att 300p+ in a not too distant future. | baner
06/6/2016 09:06 | Glad I am not the only one watching and thanks for your view Smithie. | minky
06/6/2016 08:39 | Acquisition news has gone down well with big jump today. The growth and profitability of acquired co. is what SWL should have been achieving for last x yrs....but didnt.... ( although they did achieve some and many own brand initiatives...) Own brands route was/is obvious route for SWL since only doing production on contract basis was a waste of time/investment. With this step jump in own brands via this acquisition then SWL looks a much more interesting business. As long as acquired co. keeps performing & providing its skills to SWL. Nice earner for the 2 female founders, about 5M quid each ! Solid invest by dirs ( esp McDowell) is +ve sign. ---- Changes at SWL with the new MD have been very positive imho while risks still exist of course. Been quite a lot of progress imho. | smithie6
08/3/2016 13:40 | In Boots you typically pay for shelf space for new products. You pay more for premium eye level space, and more for larger numbers of stores. Their model is profitable for them and costly for new suppliers and suppliers with new products, but having Boots as a reference is often important. | sallyho
08/3/2016 13:20 | Many thanks for that - a line has been dropped to your contact email on your blog! | nehpets81
08/3/2016 08:11 | Hi nehpets81,yes to your first question. Secondly, management affirmed that the real benefit of own brands would begin to show through positively in the second half. Given that they were really at the launch stage during the period, I suspect that any contribution was negligible. Upside here looks positive with the Broker expecting owned brands to grow 10% mid term or £1.5m-£2 Good spot by you on the "MR lines, always good to hear that, rather than being tucked away on the bottom shelf! If you fancy dropping me a line, happy to respond. Cheers H | hastings
07/3/2016 14:39 | Thanks for the link Hastings, is that your blog? If so, I was wondering if management gave an indication as to whether the own brands made a contribution in the first half or if it will all come from the second half? Incidentally I noticed the "MR" shampoos etc in Boots the other day - good top shelf eye level display for what is a bit of a niche product which was good to see. | nehpets81
01/3/2016 13:27 | A few more thoughts that may be of interest to others taking a look | hastings
01/3/2016 10:34 | ...MD seems to be energetic.....pushin In a difficult sector ..pat on the back... | smithie6
01/3/2016 08:23 | Very good set of interim results which were ahead of broker forecast. Next few years could see some real marked progress from a management team that is clearly turning the business around. | hastings |
