20/2/2015 12:11 | I thought the recent British Land planning application in Plymouth might be mildly positive long term for SUH. Extracts from the local press: Plymouth City Council planners are set to consider plans for the £40 million Drake Circus Leisure development in Plymouth city centre. The scheme, which is due to be considered by the Planning Committee in April, includes … a new pedestrian route from the city centre to Sutton Harbour and the Barbican. The council was quoted - "This proposed scheme would transform the link from the city centre to the Barbican and the waterfront, into a more seamless quality experience for shoppers and visitors alike. Plymouth Chamber is therefore very pleased to be supportive of British Land’s planning application for this exciting development" | lime circle

25/2/2014 07:58 | From rns today. So Sutton do all the hard work and 75% goes to the council. On the surface dows not sound like a good deal (imo) Any contrary views ? Note: Plymouth City Airport Limited, a 100% owned subsidiary of the Company, holds a legal interest in the 113 acre former airport site. Plymouth City Airport Limited ceased airport operations on 23 December 2011, and in accordance with its legal obligations, is working with Plymouth City Council (PCC), to achieve best value from alternative use of the site whereupon net proceeds will be split 75:25 in favour of PCC. | pugugly

26/10/2013 00:20 | Bit of airport news. I will be moving, noise from Barbican far too much, and the new boardwalk I expect will not help if it goes ahead. | games
12/8/2013 14:24 | This one's got some volume today! | xlairways
02/8/2013 22:29 | Kings point opening soon...should help. Will go have a look at some point, and may consider depending on hat the area feels like, its not the best side of town, but if its quieter than Sutton..may consider. Sutton itself has been quite busy so far this year, the great weather doing its job. One big drawback to Sutton this year is the noise from the barbican on an evening and early hrs of the morn at the weekend.....the base from the clubs is louder than previous years...and goes right thro the boat, spoiling weekends. Turning it down would not put off clubbers....I've been in the clubs and you struggle to make yourself clear when ordering drinks....and this was last year. Sutton great staff.....shame about the very loud *base* noise. | games
