07/3/2008 18:33 | Not happy one bit but it is time to move on methinks. I hope that everyone has better fortunes when they re-invest thier money from the offer. Good luck all. :( | trojan
07/3/2008 17:50 | "Greg Ballard, president and chief executive officer of Glu, commented, "We're delighted to have declared the tender offer unconditional and to have formally joined forces with Superscape and its talented management and employees. Indeed, Superscape's numerous positive and unique attributes will complement and bolster Glu's already strong market position in the mobile games market. We're excited to move forward." Any comments on the 'talented management" accolade? | legate
07/3/2008 17:39 | Can the tax loss be used only for share profits or can it be used against your normal tax code? | nicandy
07/3/2008 16:23 | yes, you have six years to inform the IR. HoT | helen troy
07/3/2008 15:52 | I think they are indefinite so long as you register them with the IR in good time. | ride daice
07/3/2008 15:49 | Any one know if capital gains losses carry forward into the next year? | abc125
07/3/2008 14:48 | It certainly is more than a bit of sharp practise, thats for sure! | gmb
07/3/2008 12:19 | I doubt that he is ready to retire yet. He has missed out on a few million that his options might have made him had he and co. created rather than destroyed shareholder value. Therefore I'm sure he'll be keen to catch onto the next scam. | ride daice
07/3/2008 12:12 | Also they probably have KR as an employee. HoT | helen troy
07/3/2008 11:33 | I wouldn't want to invest in Glu. I don't like how they've handled this takeover. | ride daice
07/3/2008 11:26 | Any one thinking of buying Glu shares? Well if you can't beat 'em, join 'em! They debuted at $11.50 and are now around $4.50, throw in the exchange rate, and it might be worth a punt. I expect the £/$ rate to drop to $1.75 by the end of the year, so you could make a bit on the currency affect on top of any capital appreciation. Shameful behaviour by Kevin Roberts. | abc125
07/3/2008 11:19 | Legate, that decision is basically because I now expect GLU to get over 90% so I don't think the option will arise. HoT | helen troy
07/3/2008 11:05 | Offer declared unconditional in all respects as forecast by me yesterday, but I said next week so I was a bit out on that. I see Helen Troy seems to have very quickly abandoned the idea of holding shares in a private company called Superscape owned by an American company called GLU, very wise decision. | legate
07/3/2008 11:00 | It's morally Shameful whichever way you look at it. The only way selling out now for 10p can be justified is if there is no worthwhile future... in which case the repeat announcements about progress being 'on track' were BS, merely to appease shareholders. | edmondj
07/3/2008 10:45 | All welcome on my Phorm board - another company that could take over the world but is hugely risky ! Doing well for me though. | hamsterwheel
07/3/2008 10:43 | Thanks troutisout. Any one else got some investment ideas? | abc125
07/3/2008 10:41 | Hammy. My sentiments exactly. In my opinion Morality should be a prerequisite for the boardroom, not an impediment which clearly these guys think it is. | ride daice
07/3/2008 10:35 | Fun in the respect that there are some good posters on here and it was fun chatting with them. | knowing
07/3/2008 10:20 | Almost as much fun as a free round of golf at one's country club | hamsterwheel
07/3/2008 10:18 | fun in what way ? | pickymicky
07/3/2008 10:13 | Yes fun while it lasted. Good luck everyone. | knowing
07/3/2008 09:56 | Looks like the game is up. I can't think of anything else to do. Many thanks to TBH for putting up a bit of a fight, and for all the posters on this and the previous board. As a last act of defiance, I have put my holding up for sale with a limit price of 10p! Good luck to all in whatever you turn to. HoT | helen troy
07/3/2008 09:52 | abc, you will get it quicker.
