Its beginning to look like a message to Bahar, the mention of 'enforcing', rather than a decision to use legal action now. I am slightly more optimistic. Ever so slightly. As is the market, for now. Glad I did not sell yesterday at least !

Romeike, I saw that trip but consider that the outcome is presumably no different from other previous discussions, which did not require an RNS of themselves. The fallback of asserting/enforcing rights will always have been there - all that has changed it seems is the desire on Marcus' side to publicise this.

Shorty - I can see real value emerging from development of those two assets. And it will mean something tangible that will lift the STI share price right out of the water imho.

@GamesPlayer- If you noted in Perry's reply he stated that Marcus was in Turkey for meetings last week. The RNS on Monday follows from us not getting the desired outcome and would be a requirement before proceeding with further steps he might want to take.

Harry thanks for your pessimistic viewpoint which attempts to counter the market perception today (share price currently up 6% by the way). So you think that when Thani Stratex and Goldstone are floated, our 30% share will be reduced to a NSR? You are hilarious but I am guessing you must be short so your pitiful attempts to deramp are forgiven. You will have to close soon though.

Large jump up on the ask - either they're not really looking for it (as was the case last week when you could buy below mid) or else the MMs look to be short of stock, which seems surprising on paper, but not perhaps given the buyers posting here.

Summary of the BRR interview
a) Waffle about STI's assets
b) Short reference to the key asset, 45% stake in Altintepe which let's face it should his round the clock focus
c) More waffle about exciting grades owned by third parties in which STI will be diluted at best to NSRs

Marcus asserted the Altintepe JV is in a position to make a cash contribution, the partner (Bahar) disagree. He hopes to resolve the issue and if necessary will take further action to enforce STI's rights.

Having seen the drop in the sp, it would be reasonable to expect him to allay concerns about the possibility of a long, costly and uncertain legal case by stating Bahar's position ie when they believe the JV will be in a position to make a cash distribution. He should know Bahar's position but he chose not to communicate it to shareholders.

In short Marcus left the market wondering whether STI is going to be a court case play or an income generating gold producer.

Thankfully the market is gambling on the latter

OK. I am a little sceptical about the timing of yesterday's RNS as he could have waited until the annual results - I suspect (hope?)that this was effectively clearing the decks of bad news so he can focus from now on good news.

GP - I was referring to Marcus's webcast and hoping he will continue in that vein. I am convinced that he was hoping to surprise us with news of distribution before results, hence the reason for previous silence. Now the facts are in the open I think we can look forward to some positive developments imho

What a recovery play this is, I have increased my holding on the dip.

I don't see any bad news, only cash balance building nicely prior to distribution timing agreement.

Regarding the order of points, he just followed the "sandwich" concept: start with good, put bad/development in the middle, end with good.

I seem to recall that as an HR feedback method, it has been shown to be ineffective - people still focus on the bad...

In positive note agreement doesn't look to be in dispute, just meaning of cash positive. On negative he mentioned all projects prior to the one causing concerns. I read that a even if we don't get money soon we have enough projects to justify fund raise. Not deramping as I bought yesterday and will hold but just my thoughts.

Well done Stratex on some better communications today. Answering e-mails and doing an interview.

The cash release situation at Altintepe is still more of a worry than it was for me last week and I guess that is reflected in the market as well. It would help me if I knew what Bahar's position is. For example how much money is required for phase 2 and what are the projections of production and costs. When does Bahar suggest that cash will be returned if not now? Stratex could still go some way towards explaining these things and I can't see any reason not to.

I guess the accounts due shortly should show how much cash is left and what the burn rate is.

With physical gold viewed in some of the further drill holes now being tested from Anbat ThaniStratex is looking like a major play this year and the upcoming results will be eagerly awaited. Discussions with Bahar are still ongoing and not completely broken down as some have suggested.

Marcus sounds VERY CONFIDENT to me and a VERY different character to bumbling Bob who I thought came across in presentations as a bumbling prof type. Marcus sounds to me like a hard-nosed negotiator and I have met a few, bodes well!

I feel 100% certain we will see our share of profits, it's just a question of timing as far as I understand it. NICE PIGGY BANK!

Muratdere - Sounds like they may dilute interest rather than contribute cash.

GRL sounds to me like it may get developed! GRL - UP 7.8% already......IS THIS IS WHY THEY WANT THE CASH NOW........

Some VERY exciting grades coming from Thani!! VISIBLE GOLD in recent hole - YET TO BE REPORTED!!!
MORE DRILLING SCHEDULED.....
