28/2/2017 12:48 | Didn't seem too bad to me. | soulsauce
28/2/2017 12:37 | I know some will disagree with me, but I think the last 24 hours have been a little unfortunately worded - we're not, it seems, significantly worse off than we were say a month ago re Altintepe (although there is some more clarity that it has not been resolved yet - which we knew because there hadn't been an RNS before yesterday) and TSR has come in with some very interesting initial results. | gamesplayer
28/2/2017 12:34 | dan, buy some grl cos they're gonna back it and thani - s if you can | kingivor
28/2/2017 12:32 | It's not about the payments, it's about the timing of them.Seems like Bahar want to save the money until everything is 100% clear and Stratex want some cash to go play with. | shortarm
28/2/2017 12:30 | Key thing to me was the tone is a lot softer re Altintepe, Marcus "continues to be in discussion with them and hopes to resolve the issue and if necessary will take further action". | gamesplayer
28/2/2017 12:23 | If someone could summarize, the sound on my works laptop is bust :-( | danieldruff2
28/2/2017 12:21 | Altintepe from around 3mins Great to hear TSR being emphasised. | gamesplayer
28/2/2017 12:16 | BRR media out | soulsauce
28/2/2017 11:48 | What evidence do you have YH that Stratex are illiquid and therefore need to liquidate all assets to pay creditors. Complete bizarre scaremongering. Most of the time I find you add good intellectual and thoughtful balance to the board discussions Harry but to suggest that Stratex is now illiquid is astonishing. Good post 5huu. | exbiz
28/2/2017 11:20 | I have been buying more cheap shares from weak trembling hands. | goldenshare888
28/2/2017 11:19 | Look back in 2/3 months and see where we are! I don't think liquidated is even on the list of outcomes here. :)) | goldenshare888
28/2/2017 11:18 | Young harry has always been a panic reactor. | goldenshare888
28/2/2017 11:06 | Short term at least, a lot is dependant on whether Marcus chooses to put more facts into the open. He could certainly slay some of the wilder conjecture, but to leave things as they are is inviting the vultures to circle. Of course, elaborating on a fall out with a major partner will difficult to paper over. | steve1905
28/2/2017 10:42 | Irony is Pandora is finally being drilled after a 5 year wait. Very much their prize find in the Afar on first view. Results soon, but I guess the market will ignore them until the Altintepe cloud is lifted. | danieldruff2
28/2/2017 10:29 | Thanks Romeike for the email from Perry. We can all pick over it and come up with different interpretations, positive and negative, I guess. This sentence struck me as being quite close to saying talks/relations between us and Bahar have broken down ... "He ( Marcus )now believes that we will need to take further action to enforce our rights and we are exploring what action that may be." | luminoso
28/2/2017 10:20 | YoungHarry2 - you stated: "In summary, it is hard to see how STI can continue as a going concern, the share price is essentially a bet on the final liquidation dividend. On face value this should be higher than the current share price but investors face uncertainties of legal costs, terms of any negotiated settlement and time." I don't see that at all - I think it is easy to see how STI can continue as a going concern and I don't think a liquidation is on the cards. Of course this is not situation where an investor can undertake their own project appraisal or analysis in full possession of the facts - you know that already. It is not for me to justify why I'm holding and may well buy more if the price is still low in the new tax year - but it is very simple, I think the share price will go up partly from what I know of their operations and investments, and partly 'feel'. You're the one who set out that you think the tax loss is worth more than the share to you - if you really believe that then you should crystallise it and move on. | gamesplayer
28/2/2017 10:03 | Games Player: are you operating off hope or analysis of the facts in front of shareholders? If the latter then it would be good of you to share that analysis. Of course I would like to be optimistic but I need to be persuaded by analysis of facts. | youngharry2
28/2/2017 09:55 | Useful email from Perry, as we were speculating yesterday, stage 2 mining has not been officially greenlit yet, how does it get funded from the JV cash pile? | danieldruff2
28/2/2017 09:52 | A storm in a teacup! I always thought Stratex were pushing their luck expecting a cash distribution now when it is clear additional funds are being expended to increase resource. Mining is a long-term game not an in and out 5 minute play. The main thing to remember is that value is being created here. | goldenshare888
28/2/2017 09:46 | Perry's reply gives me more reason to believe the impasse is around Stratex wanting future costs paid from future revenue and Bahar wanting future costs paid for from existing revenue, and further that payment will be forthcoming and is a matter of timing and priorities rather than an all out breakdown in relations / refusal to pay. | romeike
28/2/2017 09:36 | Thank you Rome. Perry's email could suggest that it's the additional investment which is the sticking point. Which many on here have mentioned many times. That makes a lot of sense to me. If I was Bahar, Im not sure I would want a distribution of the income if additional capex was still required. | 5huu
28/2/2017 09:29 | Sounds to me like STI are not holding any aces so all they can do is bluff | juju44
28/2/2017 09:28 | On reading Perry's email, it strikes me that (a) cash distribution is a matter of timing not concept and (b) Marcus is simply ratcheting up the discussions, coupled with an RNS to show he's serious and not bluffing. | gamesplayer |
