28/2/2017 09:26 | Rome , well done getting a reply and sharing it. Cant say it makes me feel any better though | juju44
28/2/2017 09:23 | Please don't engage with SK again, he's been so quiet while it was gently rising or staying flat. This will all be resolved with time and SK will disappear again.Hopeful little Carrion crow. | shortarm
28/2/2017 09:19 | SK I didn't say that you said that it would get there in a day if you read my post, but you are right that you didn't mention 1.1p, that was indeed GF. But even to say 1.25p without giving a timeframe is very ambiguous and no different than someone saying this'll hit 20p and then giving no timeframe and logic to it, and yet if someone said that then everyone would jump all over them and call them blatant rampers, and rightly so. | exbiz
28/2/2017 09:13 | Romeike - thanks for emailing and posting Perry's reply. | gamesplayer
28/2/2017 09:09 | YoungHarry2 - you'll find that you can easily sell the rest of your holding and get out. The rest of us who don't for a moment subscribe to your expected outcome will continue happily. | gamesplayer
28/2/2017 09:04 | Very quick reply from Perry: Stratex has continually been in discussion and communication with our Turkish partners Bahar Madencilik with regard to their obligations under our agreement. Any cash distribution was only going to occur once the operation had turned ‘cash positive’. This was always the case. We believe that the mine is now in a position to distribute cash, although further investment will be required to go to the next phase of production, and our CEO, Marcus Engelbrecht, spent a number of days last week in Ankara to discuss the current situation. He now believes that we will need to take further action to enforce our rights and we are exploring what action that may be. We also believe that the Altintepe mine will produce significant cash flow over its operating life and that Stratex will share in that benefit once the current situation has been resolved. Thank you for your continued support of the Company. Regards Perry | romeike
28/2/2017 09:04 | Now we know why Bob and Chris legged it. Now we know why Marcus was appointed and described the JV deal as 'fantastic.' Now we know why Emma is looking for cash for Goldstone All Bahar need to do is continue to sit back and wait for STI to start legal proceedings, string out the preparation of evidence to bring to the Court and do their best to run down STI's cash in the hope / expectation of capitulation As matters stand: STI needs to turn off as much expenditure as possible and focus on the legal case. As some point in the future there will be a settlement under which STI will receive monies from the gold mined to that date and a receipt for the sale of the rest of the mine. In the meantime, STI will have to let the rest of the portfolio dilute to smelter royalties. In these circumstances a placing is out of the question except at a giveaway price. In summary, it is hard to see how STI can continue as a going concern, the share price is essentially a bet on the final liquidation dividend. On face value this should be higher than the current share price but investors face uncertainties of legal costs, terms of any negotiated settlement and time. In the meantime Marcus has the following options: leg it (and I wouldn't blame him), look for a buyer (easier said than done) or stay the course... In parallel investors will reflects as to whether they are invested in a gold producer or an impending court case... My only regret is that I only sold most of my holding, not all if it. In common with a lot investors, the tax losses are now more valuable than the shares... | youngharry2
28/2/2017 08:56 | Well done Romelke! | flavio_monteiro
28/2/2017 08:54 | For what it is worth I emailed Perry this morning to implore Stratex to be upfront with investors regarding the nature of this impasse with Bahar and the options they have available to resolve matters. In particular we need to know if this issue concerns the timing of payment or payment itself. | romeike
28/2/2017 08:47 | I said 1.1p and believe it will hit that coming weeks if mr. Marcus keeps silent or has more bad news regarding the Bahar situation. | greedfear
28/2/2017 08:29 | I said 1.25 and I didn't say it would get there in a day. | sicilian_kan
28/2/2017 08:28 | My error I HOLD....But am unhappy with the situation! | flavio_monteiro
28/2/2017 08:24 | 'HELD 3.45 million' presumably you sold yesterday then and the price held up pretty well in spite of this and also the assertions of Greedfear and SK that the share price would be 1.1p Perhaps investors in general took a broader view and with the likes of Anglo, Blackrock, Teck and Anto as major shareholders with vast mining experience to draw upon we may have a good chance of resolving the situation as I'm sure it's something similar to what these mining professionals have encountered before. We may be a small listed mining company but the sum of our parts in much stronger I believe. | exbiz
28/2/2017 08:18 | FM - Why did you sell then? Or should HELD read HOLD? | gamesplayer
28/2/2017 08:18 | Just for record a mine starts with low grade so that any hiccups only affect low grade rather than lose high grade. There is a difference in understanding of the terms of the agreement, call it what you want. If they didn't know production would they pluck it out of the air?? Don't think that would be legal or at best mid leading the markets. All conjecture which needs meat on the bone. | bigglesbingham
28/2/2017 08:15 | Shortarm, We need answers!! I used 2 BB - not multiples! I am not running STI down or will multiple post negatives, in fact I am a big supporter of Marcus having bought into STI because of his appointment! I am very suspicious of Bahar and their intentions! | flavio_monteiro
28/2/2017 07:55 | And he's posted it in several bulletin boards.Wonder why? | shortarm
28/2/2017 07:54 | I hope Marcus reads or is informed about the questions arising on this board, which probably represent a fair summary of wider concerns, and then addresses them - either in interviews or in the annual results. | gamesplayer
28/2/2017 07:51 | You may be right, who knows, but that's a lot to read into an RNS from a company not known for precise and complete wording. | gamesplayer
28/2/2017 07:40 | My Observations...... Marcus word “Impasse” A situation that is so difficult that no progress can be made; a deadlock or a stalemate A position or situation from which there is no escape; deadlock. Solutions: Legal Question: After going legal, how can the trust in the relationship be regained! Question? With Bahar having debts of £40million, presumably paying interest on the cost of building the mine, why go for lower grades and increase your costs? The first 6 months they good grades generated a return of US$32.73 million - Second Half US$11.61 million - estimate Only, Surely as a miner with debt, you go for good grades and try and pay it off as quickly as possible? Why has Marcus given us an estimate? February 27th 2017 Estimated production for the financial year ended 31 December 2016 is 35.8 koz gold and 41.6 koz silver, generating total revenues for the mine in excess of US$45m Previous RNS 11th August 2016 Exact Figures Project sales in H1-2016 of gold and silver generated total revenues of US$32.73 million. Aggregate project revenues (5(th) November 2015 to 30(th) June 2016) stand at US$33.39 million; Could it be that the relationship with Bahar is so poor that they are not even sharing figures? If Bahar are not happy to part with 20% of the revenues, what chance do we have of getting the 45%! CONSTRUCTIVE VIEWS PLEASE I HOLD 3.45million shares in Stratex | flavio_monteiro
27/2/2017 17:28 | I must say that I wish goldenshares enthusiasm and excitement was infectious. | luminoso
27/2/2017 17:23 | Soul, it's the secretions that bother you the most with STI.......... I mean of Cash, of course !! | luminoso
27/2/2017 16:51 | It's a shame really that we are where we are. Where did it all go wrong? Who is to blame? Our consultant Bob? Did he mess up teaming up with Bahar or signing a vague contract? Or is it Bahar that's BS us and don't give a damn about ethical business and respecting a partner? Is it doing shrewd business scr#wing a partner? Don't know. Just asking. | greedfear
27/2/2017 16:48 | Marcus has stuck his head above the parapet and shown there is a problem. He now needs to show that he is handling the problem or shareholders are going to have to start kicking. The AGM is in May. We may need to increase the numbers this year to get our point across during the Q&A. | romeike
27/2/2017 16:46 | It is a rather unfortunate ticker symbol and unfortunately that news today has made me a bit scratchy but hopefully it will clear up with over time :-/ | soulsauce |
