19/1/2017 10:31 | His reputation is being pumped here by peeps who only know what a previous poster has said. I held shares in Archipelago when he sold it at a miserable premium way below market expectation ( just like Bob did) . Shareholders mostly lost money there . He has had over 4 months in a tiny mickey mouse company - its time he started to deliver | juju44
19/1/2017 10:24 | Can we lay off Marcus and give him a chance and time to place his imprint on STI. We can only judge a man on his reputation....and its damm good IMO. | flavio_monteiro
19/1/2017 09:55 | Amazing that in the last 2 months our share price has been static and yet even a basket case like RRR run by the baffoon AB has risen 50% | exbiz
19/1/2017 09:27 | Perhaps Marcus emailed his photo for the website into the company email account forgetting that he'd set it for all incoming mail to go straight to junk mail. | exbiz
18/1/2017 17:31 | Could Marcus really be Bob in a different wooly pooly | juju44
18/1/2017 16:57 | Marcus is a ghost. | greedfear
18/1/2017 16:55 | Wish some of the people here were in charge of where I'm working. Just needed to work 1 hour a day and they would be convinced I must be working 12 thus paying me overtime and bonuses. | greedfear
18/1/2017 16:54 | exbiz, hxxp://www.stratexin Priestly now appears to be a non-exec (which I think is sensible as she should not be paid for two jobs). However I don't remember any announcement of her changing from exec to non-exec. Addison and Worcester are also non-execs. But apparently Cole-Baker is an executive director! Marcus must be some kind of special creature as his picture never comes out. | blobby
18/1/2017 16:09 | Skeleton staff with Marcus working to keep the business going on his tod. C'mon Tad do you really believe the business only employs Claire and Claire alone to undertake admin responsibilities. What do you understand to be the responsibilities of Ashwood, Addison, Priestly and Woecester, and that's just from the management structure. Marcus also has Yildiz and his team in Turkey, Ouedreago and his team in West Africa and I believe JCB and Bob are still consulting so please let's not pretend poor old Marcus is tearing around Turkey and Africa trying to keep all the plates spinning. | exbiz
18/1/2017 16:08 | Ok Tad I will give it until 6th February... | charles clore
18/1/2017 15:58 | I suppose we can only hope STI is well aware that holders are dying for an update on esp. A. and that they're doing all they can to get some news to the market as soon as they can. | novicetrade68
18/1/2017 15:36 | When I read 'wooden bird' I thought they'd employed my ex wife!!! | shortarm
18/1/2017 15:16 | As part of cost savings efforts emails are now being taken by a wooden nodding bird that taps the keyboard on a 24/7 basis. Unfortunately the bird is only trained to tap the delete key thus far so there may be a level of reduced responsiveness to investor enquiries in the near term. We suggest investors be quiet and grateful for their lot in the meantime thanks. | romeike
18/1/2017 15:13 | Taking longer than Brexit. Sounds like our new lot have about the same competence as the last incompetent lot | juju44
18/1/2017 15:08 | juju, "How on earth can any negotiation on an already agreed contract take 3 months." I imagine negotiations will be continuous between partners about operational aspects of the mine and how much capital is needed for the various development options. | blobby
18/1/2017 15:05 | should be lots of people available to answer e-mails. What else do they have to do | juju44
18/1/2017 15:03 | exbiz, I'm not going to defend Stratex too vehemently but there are a couple of mitigating factors as I see it. 1. Claire Bay is on maternity leave, and in the past I have only had responses from Claire. I know Bob used to write to shareholders a lot, but I used to think that he was probably doing too much of this. I was told that Claire was due back in March so perhaps service will resume then. 2. When I last wrote to Stratex on November 23rd, the question was directed to Perry Ashwood as I was told he would pick up the e-mails from Claire. I received no response at all from him. However Charles has received a response recently to say that his e-mail had been received. This response was not rude IMO, although it was not helpful either. So I would say going from loosing or ignoring e-mails to a holding response is an improvement. edit - Tadtech, I've just read your response above which is a similar view. | blobby
18/1/2017 14:58 | How on earth can any negotiation on an already agreed contract take 3 months. You couldnt make it up | juju44
18/1/2017 14:53 | There are pretty sound reasons why the company is not responding IMO, basically Claire Bay is on leave till March, she is the usual line of enquiry and responds without fail. Bob has gone as has Chris Hall, that leaves a pretty skeleton staff, Marcus is probably in places far and away, lets face it we want him to be doing the business abroad rather than sit in London offices. I think we must wait until the nominal deadline, which is circa 6th February, Marcus was very specific at Proactive, he implied he wanted 2 to 3 months to conclude negotiations with Bahar re forward plans and cash distribution. I am very contented to wait, I believe the news will be very positive when it eventually comes. N.B. I would not completely rule out a sale of Altintepe for the right price, perhaps that could account for the radio silence, something to speculate over at least. | tadtech
18/1/2017 12:09 | YW steve Nice one juju | charles clore
18/1/2017 12:05 | I have asked them when we will get some news on our company performance as bahar partner and when STI will receive some money from it. I will communicate their response but dont hold your breath | juju44
18/1/2017 11:56 | Thank you Charles. Those searching questions have obviously left them reeling. Seriously though, how rude and uninspiring that they fail to answer even basic questions. | steve1905
18/1/2017 11:44 | steve - I had a holding reply on 5th January as follows: Hello xxxxx Thank you for your enquiry, it's been referred and a response will follow in due course. Kind regards Janet Davis Office Administrator (UK) Stratex International Plc Heard nothing since so I guess your cardboard theory could be correct. Unless they are conducting in-depth research into my question, which asked whether the company was planning to continue with quarterly updates and if they had any idea when shareholders could expect the next Altintepe update. Obviously either question was too difficult to answer by return of email. It might be worth a few of us asking similar questions and perhaps embarrassing the company into replying or maybe even issuing an RNS. The email address is info@stratexplc.com The next step could be to start lobbying major shareholders. If I don't get a satisfactory reply by the end of the month that is what I will be doing. | charles clore
18/1/2017 11:35 | Still have offices in Eastleigh I believe... I see the Thani Stratex website is spinning up rapidly, presumably for a float later this year | danieldruff2 |
