People are just disappointed. A lot of people probably expected that things would turn for the better with the new ceo (I did anyway). But it hasn't.

Observer are you talking about my comment? If so why not address the issue directly.
Startex has never, ever, said they have been in discussions about altintepe. Look, i am glad they are engaging witb bahar and the jv co, its better than not doing so. Yet the silence is telling, and it is certainly true that we do t have much cash left. In such a vacuum of information comes the inevitable view that something aint rght. If it were, we would be sitting at 6p, the BoD would have equity and the company would be paying dividends.

What's to discuss? They have never said before that the outcome of distributions is subject to discussions. This is new. It is however critical for stratex. They are running out of cash. In my view this is precisely why the turkish partners are stalling on payments. And though the jv co is claimed to be at arms length from bahar, i dont believe it for a second. Where is the evidence for this?

So they own the money but after a year they still cannot agree how to divide it . How silly can you get

Had a reply back from the company yesterday, they are presently in discussions with their Turkish partner and re-iterate that neither shareholder has received cash from the mine to date.

They will make an announcement once discussions conclude.

I remember that during the presentation Marcus said it was his No 1 priority to get a cash distribution and the other partner (shareholder) also.

Another point to recall from the presentation, confidence was high mine life can be extended to 9 years.

Patience will be rewarded IMO.

Doug Casey is always prognosticating about how gold's meteoring rise is just about to happen. People subscribe to his newsletters and pay to do. I did too, for a while, but found that he's about as accurate as anyone else. Many of his predictions were a load of rubbish. I think he's just playing to the galleries and don't trust his judgement.
