Thanks guys, I sold out to the trackers last week but will be meeting the company at the end of January, this was the best of the index trades this time round and a good quality company.

On a technical note the stock is going into the All Share index in December, announced after the close 11, effective at the close 20th. It is at the top of the small cap but is some way off going into the 250 at this stage, should be good tracker buying as we get to the 20th.

Stock Spirits: Berenberg initiates with a target price of 310p and a buy recommendation. Jefferies starts with a target price of 290p and a buy recommendation.

This is the most bizzare IPO: no real mention in the press, no comments in the usual IC or SM, no coverage from the analysts (JPM Nomura)? Did it really happen?

Holder at 250p coz I feel it's cheapish and the BoD & executive Mangement are impressive.

Not yet big enough for 250 index, weighting between 55 and 64% depending on the green shoe.

The indexing effect has yet to kick in watch them out perform from now till Dec 20.

I'm pleased with the press release, although it's slightly underwhelming for a maiden trading release

Couple of remarks:

There is/are keen seller(s), may be a few institutions were served more shares than they wanted at the placing.

Great to talk about "volume", but "sales" possibly ex-excise will have been more appropriate.

Obviously the Diageo deal was already known - was it at the time of the marketing road-show or a couple of days back as the price shoot-up? I would hate to think that the info was NOT already known at the time of the IPO, that would make STCK a leaky public company. Surely City-posters know when the info was privately released.

Looks terribly cheap compared to other spirit companies, even second rankers (Campari, Beam, Constellation..)
