In relation to the drop today Clock I think it is a little bit early to say that it is on a slippery slope. In recent weeks it has gone back up just as quickly so it will be interesting to see how this pans out. My hunch feeling is that the share price should pick back up soon to the recent highs. If it does fall, and I certainly hope that it won't, then this will certainly be disappointing.

IBM are certainly endorsing Author Bridge and this is a fantastic achievement for Stilo. In their 12 month end report this is what Stilo have said about Author Bridge:

"Pricing will be based upon a low-cost annual licensing model, and while not significantly impacting results in 2016, it will serve to establish a firm foundation for growth in revenues and profits in future years".

When they say future years my expectation is that they will receive some revenue from AB this year as it has now been launched and this will grow each year. They raised their dividend by a healthy 33% which I reckon makes them feel that things are looking rosy going forward. Management, it would appear, are going to hit the market with a low-cost annual license to get customers to come aboard and each customer will have to renew the license each year to continue using AB. Of, course, the level of revenue then gets bigger each year.

I thought it was going to breakout a short while ago but no such luck - back down the slippery pole again it seems.

SL - you ask what I think - for what it is worth, my views are that IBM will once again pay peanuts to STL as they are endorsing it and doing STL a favour, as to how long it will take, unless they takeover STL they will draw the process out. Migrate all over again??

Clocktower...absolutely! Well said but the only reason I was so negative on Stilo was because of its incredibly slow and sometimes huge steps it took backwards over so many years. Nevertheless, I do now feel that it has turned the corner and is on its way back up where it should have been a long time ago.

So what do you think? How much revs do you think IBM will pay to get AB installed right across their network and how long do you think this is likely to take?

Welcome! Welcome Mr Peterinthemarket! Son your going to riffle some feathers! Terminology and thoughts like that can quite possibly get you shot in here! You could also potentially end up in prison!"

But moving onto one of the reasons they will pay is it not easy just to pay and use and get support if needed. Why waste time when SL has!!

petersinthemarket.
Your question probes Stilo's very core.
And the answers could well be here.

Welcome! Welcome Mr Peterinthemarket! Son your going to riffle some feathers! Terminology and thoughts like that can quite possibly get you shot in here! You could also potentially end up in prison!

That scenario most definitely and fundamentally applies to a lot of companies that don't want to pay companies like Stilo, however, like Stilo have been able to demonstrate quite clearly, there are quite a lot of companies out there that are using Stilo's system. If you look at the last set of results for 2015, you will see quite a few companies coming on board to use its Migrate service.

I myself was a great critic of management at Stilo and I have certainly turned the corner with what they are doing. In fact, there are some solutions out there that will allow companies to do it for free but Stilo are clearly operating in a niche and each year they are able to find within their slow but clearly growing market a very decent amount of customers that come to them for their Migrate product and soon to be Author Bridge offering.

In closing, your right some companies will choose to do it themselves but others would rather prefer to throw it out to Stilo, and, as Stilo has been able to demonstrate quite clearly in their 2015 numbers there are quite a lot of these about that Stilo can and are targeting.

If the conversion processes offered by stilo can be carried out in house by any company employing one or two suitable IT people why does anyone need to pay (presumably) a lot more for stilo to do it? Not sh*t stirring, just asking.

Mudbath any idea what the overall cost could be for IBM to have AuthorBridge embedded right across the whole of their organisation?

Not as far as I am concerned firth, for as Stilo have already stated, whilst AuthorBridge is now scheduled to be deployed by IBM in full production in the coming months, this is not expected to significantly impact on results in 2016.

"It will(however) serve to establish a firm foundation for(significant)growth in revenues and profits in future years."

clocktower, that would be good, yet I am not holding my breath(as ever).

Thanks battlebus.
Let us hope the Company retains recent growing investor interest.

Saucepan.
Thanks for visiting the Stilo thread.
I have read many of your detailed investment appraisals over the years.
STL is a tiny company with potentially blockbusting software.
The fact that IBM has been beta testing AuthorBridge for two years, whilst at the same time providing very significant input towards refining its capabilities, carries, for me, much significance.

Awaiting the big pay day(s),Stilo stakeholders reap the benefits resulting from prudent management such as the useful dividend and a reassuringly growing amount of cash.

It is always difficult to look into the future in the search for alpha returns and the lack of any meaningful outlook statement does make things difficult for the casual observer.

Stilo International imo is like a breath of fresh air on AIM;and one deserving of many deep breaths !

mudbath: it is always good to get a heads up (from the ZULU thread); thanks.

STL is not one I have followed. I started with the recent preliminary results.

There is no 'outlook' statement as such; which is a bit unusual and makes it hard for someone looking at the Company for the first time.

The only significant forward looking statement was:

We now look forward to the general release of AuthorBridge during 2016. Pricing will be based upon a low-cost annual licensing model, and while not significantly impacting results in 2016, it will serve to establish a firm foundation for growth in revenues and profits in future years.

That seems to suggest it will be a while before there are financial fireworks?

ShareScope is not helping me as it does not show any forecasts.

You seem to suggest there will be an important catalyst next week. I shall look out with interest.

My considered opinion,Bakunin, would be to stay OUT of OUT.

Talking of which,IBM and STILO are due to OUT their developing relationship in Virginia next Monday when Mike Iantosca (who, for IBM, has overall responsibility for the planning, design, development, and delivery of solutions that support a wide range of content creators, including thousands of professional product Information Developers, technical editors, Information Architects, globalization professionals, contributors, OEMs and IBM Business Partners)alongside Patrick Baker, VP Development & Professional Services, Stilo International,is scheduled to lay out a multi-tier strategy for addressing the needs of organizations with diverse authoring roles and skills, from professional content creators through casual contributors.

Mike leads multiple software development and test teams across far-flung geographies that design, develop, test, and support advanced publishing technologies including structured based authoring and content management systems. Mike also provides product and project management leadership across all phases of product development including concept, development, test, deployment, maintenance and operations managing people, process, requirements, change management, budgets, schedules, suppliers, and contracts.

Anecdotally,STL shares remain difficult to purchase in any size.
So much for "soggy chips"; thus far anyway.

hi mudbath
Just like to get your opinion
I noticed that we both like to kick the tyres of the unloved ultra-small caps; I've seen you around at ZOO and SDI.
I'm sniffing around OUT at the moment.
Very unloved and like STL, ZOO, SDI, ... perceived by the herd to be "finished".
I get a feeling they will gradually pull through, though, a bit along the lines of STL and ZOO.
Not 100% sure of the business case, but the MCAP in no way reflects the accumulated tangible and IP assets if they do get some traction.
Any thoughts?

Possibly the STL share price will end up in negative territory today;yet I am convinced that many further new highs will be seen before long.

For what more could investors want ?

Cash rich and cash generative, gaining traction in a growing market, endorsed by IBM and due to be fully utilised by that behemoth across its whole estate, etc etc.

Sorry to bore everyone to death but the shares are CHEAP at around 5.75 pence,as they will be even when my target of 10 pence is surpassed.imo.

I agree mud , all I'm saying is beware the timing . The market gets bored of waiting and I wouldn't be surprised to see a 4.xx price later this year whilst it does wait.

I'll get back in my box now

Your contribution to this thread, even though sporadic, are most welcome.
I hear what you say; yet "dreams" are not the currency that I deal in.
Having attended several AGMs I can only say that the Stilo "roadmap" to significant success continues to unfold exactly as predicted by the BOD and that the rewards envisaged for stakeholders are predicted to be well worth any wait.
