Or...........

Selling an asset for $10m? Would cover half of what's needed for Tongo. There's probably loads of fees, etc, but it would give a substantial amount to what is needed. Strange that this hasn't been mentioned from the horses mouth.

Stellar mentioned at the very end of the article.

This para in todays RNS is slightly more re-assuring

"Looking ahead, we remain committed to ensuring further cash flow from diamond exports and sales from Baoulé in 2015. At Tongo we intend to commence the process of applying for a mining licence with the authorities in Sierra Leone. This process will include conducting an environmental impact assessment and the updating and combining of existing technical and mining reports in order to support the mine lease application. Naturally for this process further funding will be required with the objective of raising up to US$20 million in aggregate to fund both the mining licence application and the Tongo mine development (with the majority of such fundraise expected to be subject to receipt of a mining licence). We will be considering the optimum ways of achieving this with the focus being on securing funding via non-dilutive project debt structures and we will report on the process we are to follow in due course."

Trouble is the BOD will spin it out forever, placings galore @ ever diminishing prices. Sucking in more punters on the way. But Kono might come back and they may find bigger better diamonds, its all a gamble with the dice loaded in their favour.

I own GEM Diamonds and their mine in Lethsoto generates an average of over $2500 per carat.
I was decidedly unimpressed by the fact that they hand only got an average of $210 per carat from their new mine in Botswana but this one at $94.5 per carat really does call into question the viability of the business.

I thought that it was hoped to get US$200 per carat - only got US$95 which I guess is break even ish. Amazed at the mismatch between expectation & outcome

Quite a few held back, so is quality an issue? I know one corker will make all the difference.

The pain continues, finish red today ?

And another cash injection from the next sale in May hopefully. It would have been nice to see a comment on carat production and stone size being assembled for the May tranche. Nevertheless, we are now a producer with a demonstrated ability to sell at least 1 very high quality diamond.

I did not realise that selling diamonds on the Antwerp Bourse was such a protracted and drawn out process? Given that it is taking so long, I am also surprised that there has been no news of the next batch for sale if the company's announcement to produce parcels for sale every other month from now on and this first batch was supposed to be sold back in November/December?

Due to the way these companies are run the only upside would be a bid. Management have got through millions so far!

This has been stagnant for a while bit I think it may be time to jump in again here, may go down a bit but I think it is time. I have also been watching Provexis psx and believe it is time for that one too. DYOR

ADVFN give a bid price and an offer price. Anything over half way between the two are shown as buys and any below half way are shown as sells. All day the spread has been shown as 0.95 - 1.10p Why the spread is shown so big I have never understood.

Yesterday buys were at 1.025 and sells at around .95p

The current price is 0.92p to sell and 1p to buy

So I believe that any trade at 1p or above are in fact buys not sells and the only sells are the 3 trades at 0.95p The rest are buys including the late trade for yesterday.

So really it is only around 500,000 shares worth less than £5000.00

Having said all that, it does concern me that the sales are causing a continual decline in the share price. We really do need some good news and a turnaround with the SP

Agreed, ridicule. However, people sell shares for all sorts of reasons - personal cash requirements, tax planning (approaching the end of the tax year), perceived better investments elsewhere, not being aware of specific upcoming events, as well as "market sentiment" etc etc. Some of these, though not all, apply particularly to relatively small holders (in terms of share quantity, not their physical size!)
