A 'this is money' view on NORDIC:

Just done research and sve have 40million shares and 25 million warrants excercisable at 1p until2015. Nordic shares have gone from 1.25p to 5.5p very quickly! 65million x 5.5p is 3.5 million pounds Sve current map 1.35 million"Do the math" as they say !!!

Net asset value update at 10 January 2014

Further to the Company's announcement of its net asset value as at 31 December 2013 and in fulfilment of the undertaking given to advise the market of significant changes, the Company is pleased to announce that at today's close, the net asset value had increased by 62% since 31 December 2013. A number of investments have contributed to this surge in value, but especially Nordic Energy plc in which the Company has a major stake.

Might well do. GGP now 0.74p as opposed to 0.71p earlier, so that is springing into life as well.

I must be nuts. Just bought another 50k shares taking me to 300k shares.

SVE hold a large part of Nordic (NORP) and they seem to have sparked into life on ISDX recently.

Two extracts from the 2013 Annual Report that make me wonder:

'Collectively, the Board has a wealth of experience over many years of investing in small company new issues and pre-IPO opportunities in the natural resources and mineral exploration sectors'.

'Of the 25 to 30 investments held at any one time, it is expected that no more than five will prove to be 'winners'; from half of the remainder we may expect to see modest share price improvements'.

It's not easy to track what SVE have in each of their various investments. The best guess in my spread sheet is 9m in RRR, and 27.84m in RGM.

From the recent IMS:

The Company is adequately funded at present with an adequate spread of
investments, Therefore, now or in the near future may present to
investors a useful opportunity for further investment in the Company.

It remains our intention to reward the patience of Shareholders with
modest dividends when circumstances permit.


I think this is a bottom draw stock - I am confident that when the cycle changes, SVE will maximise value with its existing and new investments.

Towards the end of April, the Company expects to issue an interim report for the
six months ended 31 March 2013.

Should get some news soon. When minor mining recovers so will this. Bruce is pretty shrewd
