16/8/2016 14:21 | 30 degrees and raining so sitting in a bar watching the shares, market down, sector down yet sl. Has the potential for turning blue...looking very solid. | chesty1
15/8/2016 08:59 | Cheers chinese......30 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. Fingers crossed the blue continues for our lovely sl. And any other shares you are in.Be lucky to all. | chesty1

15/8/2016 08:51 | Sitting in pollenca square having me morning coffee looking in to see how me pension fund is performing. Solid.A little pause above £3.50 before moving north again. | chesty1
13/8/2016 15:38 | Thanks hpcg I had missed that | strathroyal
13/8/2016 14:50 | Yes. I held anyway but doubled up after the RNS on Friday. I put a comment in the ECWO thread about the compelling maths of the tender. | hpcg
13/8/2016 09:50 | Anybody getting involved in the ECWO tender? share price is £1.36, NAV £1.63, company offering to buy back 50% of ordinary shares and that percentage should increase as you would expect the ZDP shareholders who have voted to exchange their ZDP shares for ordinary shares to stay put. Looks a reasonable risk/reward investment. | strathroyal
12/8/2016 15:01 | Then don't do it! | f1araway
12/8/2016 09:42 | Pierre I started in April & the stock market has been on the up SURPRISINGLY since then. I have made a number of mistakes but even I a green player could hardly fail 2 make a profit in the circumstance on offer at the present. Even Brexit helped me make money with all bar Lloyds & M&S rising nicely 4 me. I have not experienced a lasting down turn in the market yet. I worry how I might deal with that if/when it happens. I think I would lose a lot of money. | henrylightningbolt
12/8/2016 09:34 | Well some are blatant out and out liars - that's provable and clear. Most imv just say how great they are when they close a profitable trade, and tend to keep schtum when they loseRemember that a monkey with a dart board will be right on average about 49% of the time. So no one doubts that all traders often have winning bets. But I suspect many are effectively in denial that they ever lose. | pierre oreilly
12/8/2016 09:27 | Pierre Do U think most R telling porkies? I now mainly trade Barclays as I feel I know what the share price will do. I have also traded AAL long & short but lost money so I don't do that any more. I do have a December bet on HSBC showing 400 pounds profit. | henrylightningbolt
12/8/2016 09:19 | 140 yards would be a soft 8 iron throw that gadget in the bin | chesty1
12/8/2016 09:01 | Henry, you're not alone. Every advfn trader, chartist and feeling in the bonesists has made loads trading. The lot of them, just ask them.I agree with most posts above, not trying to tell anyone how to trade/invest or what to post, just letting people know what I think. | pierre oreilly
12/8/2016 08:55 | OK, but start to worry when it answers! | caradog
12/8/2016 08:50 | I disagree Caradog everyone knows you have 2 talk 2 your golf ball. | henrylightningbolt
12/8/2016 08:49 | Pierre I spreadbet & invest long term. I have made more money trading than investing to date. But only been going since April so plenty of time 4 the wheels 2 come off. Spreadbetting is a lot of fun. | henrylightningbolt
12/8/2016 08:47 | There are all sorts of golfers, too, but shouting "get in the hole!" doesn't improve your handicap. | caradog
12/8/2016 08:45 | I am in this for the divi but love to watch the daily moves especially after being battered for so long. | chesty1
12/8/2016 08:42 | Cant agree more. No point commentating on the daily movements - but having said that this board is otherwise devoid of posts. ADVFN BBs are more for AIM casino stocks rather than proper investing. | dr biotech
12/8/2016 08:39 | Pierre I think there R all sorts of "investors" here. All accept different levels of risk & most of all different amounts of cash at their disposal. 2 make the sort of return U R suggesting that means tying up your capitol 4 a long time & at the end U may have got your call wrong. | henrylightningbolt
12/8/2016 08:25 | Sheesh, is it the first time you guys have had a winner? While you watch this perform over the next couple of years at least, just keep an eye out for the next one fitting the bill.... ieWorld class quality co.Hit hard times price wise/out of favour for some reasonPersonnel and systems already in place for increasing businessReturning numbers incompatible with being out of favourEspecially a statement of sustained dividend rises - that's the inside view of what the directors' really think will happen to the businessThen sit back for a few years taking a large and growing dividend while your net worth increases.Pick up one of these every year when they present themselves and retire early.Leave the manic day trading to those who don't realise no-one ever gets rich that way, imo. | pierre oreilly
12/8/2016 08:10 | GO GO DRESSAGE HORSEY ! | chinese investor |
