27/9/2016 05:55 | Thanks Jimbo, a very comforting presentation, especially on the back of a 9:1 down:up day ratio over the past 10 days - providing us with a continuing opportunity to keep adding to this outstanding income growth story. | shavian
26/9/2016 15:24 | Presentation from the Denver Gold forum. Well worth a listen.... | jimbowen30
17/9/2016 09:23 | More good news from Hot Maden. Mariana filed its NI43-101 yesterday with resources to 22 June. PEA Expected 'about' October. See MARL thread or site for more details. Edit: Joining the indices hasn't had the effect I expected. OH well, I wanted another bucketful of SSL anyway! | shavian
14/9/2016 08:26 | S&P Dow Dones Canada announced that SSL will be addded to the S&P/TSX Composite and Global Gold indices on 16 Sept. COuld be the trigger for insti buying for ETFs and tracker funds. Might be wise to add before Friday? | shavian
05/9/2016 19:52 | very good Jim. | hectorp
05/9/2016 17:59 | New seekingalpha article, that's with a read: | jimbowen30
05/9/2016 15:34 | Dooby - yes quite a fall in some of the PM stocks, but a big bounce back in Sandstorm. That's a good article on SeekingAlpha by Frank Holmes and I like the royalty/streaming busness model. The recent weakness in Sandstorm and other quality PM stocks is a buying opportunity imo. | jimbowen30
26/8/2016 08:29 | Oops, missed a top-up opportunity yesterday. There are clearly others out there doing the same as us | shavian
23/8/2016 22:57 | ...but today, just to prove everyone wrong, SSL has followed a different intraday path On the plus side, here's an article from Seeking Alpha that won't do Jim's chances of being right any harm... Historically, most royalty companies seems to trade at a discount, but there's a decent chance the future will be different. We'll see. | doobydave
23/8/2016 21:09 | Shavian - I have noticed the same pattern. Sandstorm always bounces back strongly, which leads to think there are some big buyers in the background. Their business model is much lower risk than individual miners and highly cash generative....the sort of stock Fund Managers love. I wouldn't be surprised to see institutions building up stakes in the company as it grows and gets more widely known. | jimbowen30
23/8/2016 07:10 | Price action in SSL has followed an interesting pattern in recent days. Big drop at the opening followed by steady buying all day to finish all square or close to the opening price. Not sure how the Canadian system of MMs works, but it looks like a classic tree shake operation. Meanwhile the volume has been steadily building from a low-ish base. Could be the smart money building their positions. Any views? | shavian
11/8/2016 15:07 | Latest in from the FCU website: an idiot's guide infographic on Paterson Lake South (PLS) resource: Worth a watch.... Edit: oops sorry chaps, senior moment, I thought I was posting this on the Geiger Counter (GCL) thread. Apologies | shavian
09/8/2016 22:48 | Up another 5% today. Good interview with Nolan Watson on BNN. All very encouraging.... | jimbowen30
07/8/2016 08:44 | Good US jobs figures and continuing Trump gaffes are negative for POG, which dropped $30 on Friday. SSL down a bit. Change of sentiment on US Interest rate prospects? Too early to tell so I'm not yet taking this as another top-up opp. Anyway I'm now overweight SSL on any sensible metric. | shavian

03/8/2016 22:10 | Here it us - spot on time. Financials of production very similar to last year, but with reduced costs: And here's the more easily digestible news release: | shavian
31/7/2016 09:05 | Yes it's good to see Shavian. Sandstorm hit another new 52 week high on Friday of $7.40 on the TSX. There seem to be a number of positives right now including Hot Maden, the Karma mine and the long term optionality on some of their projects, which are not factored into the share price at all. Perhaps one thing that will give a further boost is news from Luna Gold. Their share price continues to recover strongly and it now looks probable that Sandstorm will see cashflow from the NSR on the Aurizona mine at some stage. Here's a good article on gold and gold stocks. | jimbowen30
30/7/2016 09:44 | Onward and upward Jimbo. Looking forward to the detailed financial announcement scheduled for 3 August. | shavian
29/7/2016 11:43 | Good to see Sandstorm close to a new 52 week high | jimbowen30
25/7/2016 09:47 | Excellent MRE update from Mariana today. Comments coming in include the following: NORTHLAND CAPITAL PARTNERS VIEW: Mariana Resources and its joint venture partner, Lidya, have completed a substantial increase in the Hot Maden Project’s total mineral resource estimate to c. 4moz Au eq. at a gold eq. grade of 10.2g/t Au eq. (based on Northland metal price assumptions). This is a 31% increase in total gold equivalent ounces for the project compared to previous estimates. Mariana Resources has now established three zones of mineralisation the Main Zone that contains 3.4moz Au eq. at a grade of 15g/t (Indicated), the Southern Zone that contains 0.4moz Au eq. at a grade of 8.1g/t Au eq. (Inferred) and a Hangingwall Zinc Zone that contains around 114kt of zinc at a grade of 4% Zn (Inferred). Positive improvements in Mariana’s high-grade peer group combined with the increased mineral resource estimate announced today have lead us to increase our price target to 104p per share from 54p per share. MARL will shortly list on TSX which will heighten awareness in N America. Bound to have a knock-on effect on SSL PS on the Turkey coup. MARL and Lidya confirm no impact on operations - all drills turning normally | shavian
16/7/2016 00:22 | Oops. Coup in Turkey. Good for POG, possibly very bad for HotMaden. Difficult to predict a good outcome here. Army possibly split internally. Loyalist F-16 reportedly downs coup heli. Upcoming shambles. Thank you SSL for your country diversification! | shavian
14/7/2016 18:43 | Sounds like Nolan being interviewed by Kermit the Frog at the bottom of a bucket. Great stuff nonetheless. | shavian
11/7/2016 20:09 | Interview with Nolan Watson: | jimbowen30
11/7/2016 16:59 | - I hope so - its one of my 'laggards' in my portfolio. - where it should be racing ahead of the actual miners and the PoG. | k mon
11/7/2016 15:21 | Good to see this making new52 week highs. SSL has still lagged a lot of other gold stocks, so it's playing catch up | jimbowen30 |
