14/2/2017 08:22 | Seem to remember comments that although there was some interest from Africa, SRT wasn't even factoring in anything for the VoP as they thought it would be a long way out before anything concrete developed. Good news to see this and shows that the AIS market is fluid and still relatively young. Important point here is - yet another country is adopting AIS and a rollout is commencing. | owenski
14/2/2017 07:39 | Understandably no mention of the client country yet. It would be useful to know if this covers the entire national "fleet" or whether it only covers certain sized boats within that country at this stage and/or a further roll out if/more likely when it proves successful. Yes, good for cash flow too. I don't have a problem with an RNS for this amount if it's a new national contract. TP, Le Val any thoughts as to which nation? | 2vdm
14/2/2017 07:25 | Hopefully should keep any potential fund raising at bay. | fft
14/2/2017 07:12 | Disappointingly small order if it warrants an RNS. List price of i100 is 514. Discount of ??? Buying in bulk gives say an order of 600k. Good for cash flow, but would have been hoping that that sort of revenue figure would no longer be material. | fft
13/2/2017 19:46 | Hmmm, love it when posters who have only just joined (today) start posting an opinion. ;-) | owenski
13/2/2017 18:30 | As far as I know Weatherdock were the first one having DSC and remote read out capcbilites in their identifiers. .................... Who´s first and second does not matter so much. .................... You said it. | trident5
13/2/2017 17:58 | Maybe 'AlternativeFacts' would be a better nickname? | philburt
13/2/2017 17:29 | You are Donald Trump and I claim my £5. | yump
13/2/2017 17:04 | Who´s first and second does not matter so much. What counts is who is the more innovative company. As far as I know Weatherdock were the first one having DSC and remote read out capcbilites in their identfiers. Also since more than 3 years they supply the locators with SOLAR power and SRT announced some month ago - the world news about "now with SOLAR" panel. Do you believe now, that SRT is the market innovator? | realfacts
13/2/2017 17:00 | As far as I heard the picture of this "award" is more than 4 years old and actually there is no project ongoing in that South American Country (Look to the flas on the vessel, then you´ll know which country we are talking about) This Country will have soon some presidential elections, so nothing in the past two years was "awarded" I assume the units supplied were supplied some years ago! | realfacts
10/2/2017 20:14 | Latest gallery photo is there for a reason and probably indicates RNS re progress on already revealed contract. However, the bigger picture raises two questions. FIrstly. Who else out there can collate and diagnose all of this information? Secondly.Which global defence operator is going to be the successful purchaser of SRT marine Plc? | countryman5
10/2/2017 17:54 | yes, a clue indeed! looks very impressive. | hjb1
10/2/2017 17:47 | Good find, hjb. That picture is almost a work of art, very fetching!More to the point, its showing SRT's enhanced satellite MDA for Indonesia.I wonder if SRT are giving us a clue here?....... | the prophet
10/2/2017 17:41 | New piccy Incredible tracking performance from SRT Smart; I'll keep it to myself if that's ok. | hjb1
10/2/2017 00:31 | hjb price has popped up a tad and held up not too badly considering the lack of material news. Very good opportunity to sell out I'd have thought if you've no confidence in the company? Can I ask please what other companies you're invested in currently ? or interested in? | smartmoney100
09/2/2017 19:26 | Maybe, but that would be an alternate fact. Especially when you look at the history of product releases and innovations by each company. | kinbasket
09/2/2017 15:13 | Kin, yes I expect if you asked the guys at W/Dock they would say that SRT copy them! | hjb1
09/2/2017 15:01 | easyais sounds like a retail marketing arm - not a website name that's compatible with advanced systems. | yump
09/2/2017 14:43 | Is DJT still trying to make a MDA system with an Iphone and a couple of coat hangers ?? Maybe it's just me but I think this is good news. I'm not worried about competition. It shows the market is real and is moving forward. I've had a good look Weatherdock and I agree with what Neil told me at the AGM. They essentially just copy SRT. It's small beer but good news. | kinbasket
09/2/2017 14:16 | c/o DJ trading; Weatherdock news - today Think it is this | hjb1
09/2/2017 13:59 | Weatherdock news - today Think it is this | dj trading
09/2/2017 10:13 | Cliff - I concur with Prophet's last post but ST also told me that this was the first such news release and that others would follow. It's taken a while for the Galapagos contract to finally reach this conclusion, despite SRT supplying the kit a while ago. Hence it's more appropriate now to put the full story in their "shop window". | philjeans
09/2/2017 09:50 | ST confimed to me that the 'news release' was part of SRT's day to day marketing to potential customers. Anything new and financially material would be disclosed via RNS. So that's it, suggest we all move on and return the board to it's usual informative self whilst we await some real news. | the prophet
09/2/2017 09:49 | Regarding 'proper disclosure' it seems to me that if a customer tells a supplier that they cannot release any information about the order for reasons of national security, then the AIM disclosure rules will go hang. I imagine that there are many other circumstances requiring commercial confidentiality that can also result in information being kept from the market that investors might think should properly be released. Apple for instance is notorious for trying to place embargoes on its contractors. | supernumerary |
