18/12/2013 22:09 | Software group SQS Software Quality Systems (SQS) revealed that it is currently trading in line with management expectations, with growth being delivered in the "majority of geographies" in which it operates. The company particularly praised its performance in the US and revealed that it has recently entered into an agreement with a global US automotive company and a leading car parts manufacturer to provide test automation services. Canaccord Genuity liked the tone of the update and maintained its "buy" recommendation and 560p target price. The shares increased by 9p to 514p. | aishah

14/11/2013 20:40 | Canaccord Genuity stuck with its "buy" recommendation on software supplier SQS Software Quality Systems (SQS), upping its target price to 560p. The broker is encouraged by the planned acquisition of a majority stake in Thinksoft and feels that it has the potential to be a "game changer". In particular Canaccord believes that the acquisition could provide the opportunity to increase the proportion of high margin test centre work delivered through offshore resources. The shares were up by 6.5p at 487.5p. | aishah

12/11/2013 10:48 | After sitting on this stock for a few years in which it's been up and down and not done much, this surge is getting hard to believe, a new all time high again this morning. | daz

08/11/2013 12:02 | It does look like a low cost expansion option, they are buying extra capacity, which suggests that they expect more work to come through. It will be interesting to see if forecasts get tweaked as a result of the acquisition, I would expect them to be nudged higher at least and today increases the chances of forecasts being exceeded. | daz
08/11/2013 11:26 | Weak Rupeee helps too :-) | aishah

08/11/2013 08:13 | Re the placing and acquisition announced today The recent sideways movement in the share price would suggest that the placing was known about for some time but to place the shares at a premium and to be over subscribed is quite an achievement and indicates a lot of pent up demand from institutions. | daz
07/11/2013 16:44 | This seems in the doldrums atm. Test trades show no appetite for sells, but plenty available. Looked a good prospect too. | stewpot3
24/10/2013 12:45 | Ta, hadn't seen that before. | spaceparallax
24/10/2013 11:13 | Just noticed this from an Irish Times report in September. Probably old news to posters here but have only started looking at this company. "The company, which came to Ireland in 2002, already employs more than 200 people in Dublin and Belfast, and plans to boost its workforce by 35 per cent by 2016." | mdara |
