Sugar, Branson, these mavericks always take their businesses private, I suspect Ashley will also do that shortly

And beauty of that deal is it should get rid of some slow moving inventory?I thought it was quite clever.

Terminated, We ship some back overseas, I found Mysales recent announcement interesting:"New partnershipThe group is pleased to have launched a strategic partnership with Sports Direct after the financial year closed. The Sports Direct partnership is for the launch of inventory on the group's Australian retail websites. This initiative will offer Australian consumers access to great sports brands at great prices in a sector with few existing operators of scale. The partnership will add approximately 150,000 SKUs to the Australian online retail offer and seamlessly integrates MySale's consumer websites with the Sports Direct supply chain at an individual product level. Once successfully implemented and developed this Sports Direct partnership may be extended into additional territories of New Zealand and South-East Asia. This partnership also represents the first flagship retailer to join our nascent retail marketplace platform. The first products have already started shipping to customers and this will be reflected in our first half performance."

I know, but everyone else does the same if they're honest.SPD will still appear very cheap in comparison

Feastario: a declining pound is bad for spd given that most of their goods are bought from Asian sweat factories.

Fest, Yep, I'm in here, looking for a short term bounce to 320 to 330p level.Chart has a nice forming curve on it.

Che7win, are you in here?I'm adding to what I have here, because the share buyback alone is forcing the price higher. That, plus the falling pound forcing U.K. Prices higher will make Sport Direct merchandise comparatively attractive, or even more so, to struggling customers.

The only thing that could save investors here is for Ashley to take it private.
He has no interest in paying a divi but would rather buy back stock and in doing so increase his control over the company.
This business has no business being a publicly traded company.
Having said that if it dips back to the 250p line I will take a few just in case he does decide to take it private.

There's got to be a buy point somewhere, a bounce, but where? The profit and stability of this company make this continued fall look attractive

The CEO change is to halt the decline and restore confidence in the company going forward. MA has been here before when the price collapsed in 2012 and hit the 300p mark, he had to take the reigns again, within 16 months the price had doubled to 600p, and eventually moved to 800p a few years later.

As for the share buy back buying, do we know for sure they have begun buying back?

Could this CEO change mean things are worse than the city think?

What happens when SPD stop buying? No one eles is buying for a good reason so it seems.
