25/3/2007 20:22 | i'm told they turned down 53p now we would all take 40p is this corrupt management or what ? | manonph
24/3/2007 12:04 | XK, Hilarious! Maybe they should get some of the ex-Hootters staff or reformed lapdancers. | zandy
23/3/2007 09:09 | XK, thank you very much for the update. I am also sitting on losses but will be holding until the results are out and probably for a little beyond that. | mike111d
18/3/2007 12:30 | In my experience placings are mostly done at a discount to the current sp, so if they are going down that route then we could be looking at 11pish. Results cant be too far away so will know more then plus update on sale and leaseback of Broad St site. | digger27
17/3/2007 20:50 | A couple of months ago, there were rumours of a placing at 15 pence, apparently reported in the papers. With a current of bid of 14p, you'd think the placing has already been made. I hope it comes good for the few people who have the heart to be still holding. | zandy
15/3/2007 13:54 | wig I agree. Probably someone with a largish holding either taking a loss for tax reasons or seeing a better opp elsewhere. | xonghile kudu
15/3/2007 13:20 | Maybe, maybe not. There's a lot of bargains out there after the market correction, maybe someone just saw a better opporunity for their money than SCA. That said, I'm still sitting on my hands, as I have a tendency to catch a knife a tad too soon and I do think SCA may fall a little bit more before it recovers. | wiganer
15/3/2007 13:12 | Oh dear that 50k at 14p doesn't bode well. | digger27
11/3/2007 15:44 | Cheers Mike. | spongman
11/3/2007 15:27 | $Pong, the results are due on or before month end. | mike111d
11/3/2007 15:17 | Hi Guys, Just passing by and checking for news. I agree that we should see something soon but purely because, as each day goes by, the probability of someting coming up gets higher - When are results anyone? (too lazy to check!). 4wiw I am still holding more than I care to think about at average of 37p. As Eddie stated above; sitting on dead money. Maybe should have sold and done something with the cash and come back for another bite if it looked good but was always expecting a bit more of a bounce that didn't happen. As for new MBO rumours, I haven't come accross any but one has to accept that if they thought it was worth a try b4 it must look like a steal now. I think the MBO robably failed because the business was't erforming well and the prospective financiers could see this. If the management have turned things aroud a little they may well get the finance but at what price? it aint gonna be 55p now. If results are bad then I think we will see a further drop which may be a blessing in disguise as, at a lower price than this, I think the chance of a takeover at a good premium to that price this summer would be very high. Just some thoughts. Feel free to comment All IMHO - DYOR Best Regrds $Pong. | spongman

08/3/2007 11:41 | Problem is it could go bananas the other way and dip down to 10p or lower. | wiganer
08/3/2007 11:40 | SP behaving erratically again which implies something brewing. Wished it would go completely bananas and hit 50p so I can get out. | digger27
08/3/2007 07:07 | morning 9evans.. care to say for how much and care to disclose if you bought yesterday ? | thefruits
07/3/2007 23:10 | Mr Contractor If you want to doubt the integrity of my sources that's up to you. I'm not nursing any losses with this share although looking at the graph and previous takeover history I can see some peeps must have been stung. I'm in for what it's worth. | 9evans
07/3/2007 20:39 | Ouch, good luck sounds like we both need it. | sub-contractor
07/3/2007 20:37 | as Mike says... results due soon... would be nice if we saw a bit of buying in advance of results.. after all, there's got to be upside from here ? any buys at 17-18p look to be fair bets to me. Wish I had entered at that price.. I paid 51p ! | thefruits
07/3/2007 20:24 | tf, assuming todays buys were at 17p there have only been 30k more buys than sells. I think the last trade shown for the day was delayed from 3.30ish. I don't buy this latest MBO rumour sounds to me like a desperate type doing their best to ramp it up in order to make a more comfortable exit. I'm sure there are a lot of punters in the same pos nursing losses, i bought in at 43p and foolishly stuck around would like to be prooved wrong though of course. | sub-contractor
07/3/2007 20:09 | wierd activity this pm.... delayed trades .. bigger sells and buys... 50k buy after hours.... more activity than usual... strange | thefruits |
