'GVC will be excluded from USA markets, all license applications have to come from companies operating in regulated markets. those like gvc that operate in unregulated markets are specifically excluded.'

You keep saying this but have yet to provide a link to verify it?

GVC directors have stated that they are not interested in us market long time ago on one of the meetings organized for shareholders. This has been said, just said.

Gvc receive all sportingbet assets outside Australia apart from an option over Spanish unit. Therefore the answer is gvc can use sportingbet brand in us subject to receiving the required licence. Wmh would probably use William hill brand or one of their is acquisitions. Not sure of value of sportingbet brand in us, they used to trade under sportsbook.com and sports.com, but both sites sold and reputation in tatters under new owners. Paradise poker most recognised of their brands.

Does gvc have funds to a secure licence and b compete with the hugest marketing spend in history to increase brand awareness .?

Stevi111 don't worry about it, focus on your own investing IMHO.

Some people will have more than you, some less. Some will have less and make out they have more but have less, some will buy expensive cars on credit to try and convince others of their wealth, others will have all the wealth in the world but you could never tell.

1.5m SBT shares @ 55p.

Thats nothing compared to the 28m shares I own.

How about a screenshot to prove you're not telling porkies ShayADFN ?

It is relevant given the size of his holdings. These are not trivial numbers.

Just because you invest 500 pounds per share does not mean that it is not interesting that share had 750,000 on the line.

Please keep us informed.

Shay please keep on topic.

Why are you telling people your shareholdings, it is completely irrelevant.

Your investment strategy in terms of the sportingbet options is just irrational.

What other shares you own or your past success is not my business.

pyueck- I have already taken profits from my sbt- the half which I allocated to investment have gone for option 3- Bearing in mind I had over 1.5m sbt before the deal in december. Yep I must be nuts- I traded sbt from 20k to 1.5m over 3years- not much cash was used on my part. I do nutty things. currently playing with cey (this is NOT an encouragement to buy, sell or hold any of the stocks mentioned)

Shay are you mad, why would you do this???? If they fall you take 100% of loss if they rise you take like 7% of the rise, due to mix and match (as per my previous posting)??? Why not just buy the shares in the market, and opt for all sportingbet cash to fund the purchase, or just sell your sportingbet shares now and buy GVC shares? Might want to ring up that broker again...

Just rang up my brokers and took the max shares- but then again it's a gamble- I expect gvc to go up rather than down.

TrentEndBoy, buy it then... whats with the conspiracy theory! Where on earth did you get your ideas from? Nothing stopping you going out and filling up on GVC if you think the price is artificially low.

I wonder if this is a deliberate move by GVC with advisors to encourage just such a move so the big boys can get the shares before a move back up.

GVC is looking like an attractive buy at the current price given the potential yield (which is still very good)
