I have been in the industry and the contracts are a beggar to control. It only wants something to happen such as poor workmanship, delayed parts and your whole schedule is screwed.

I see the Indians as a life saver for this company and believe it will survive but its best days will come when the oil price rises and companies go on a cap ex binge.

Management have never got this right just look back in the historics paid well but little for shareholders.

Intersting. So they're seeing value in their own shares....gotta be a positive sign.

Partner your question has just been answered. The company repurchased 600K of its own shares on 5.10.2012 at a price of 13p = 1.31% of the company.

Specialist Energy Group (LON:SEGR) will kick on now that it has the financing in place after a "difficult period" for the engineering firm, according to chief executive Ewan Lloyd-Baker.
He said the last six months were a period of consolidation for Specialist Energy, which designs, makes and services specialist pumps and motors for the energy sector.

Thanks Solarno. We'll wait and see....

I've been involved in a couple of small shares which had remarkable potential which have simply failed. The management seem to do OK and milk the dying cow for all its worth, I'm hoping that isnt going to be the case with this one!

Time will tell.

Little Bro

I hope the shareholders do well. But if you look back in history you will see that despite having quality products it consistently fails to deliver value to shareholders.

The involvement of the Indian group was a life saver

Good news for all,I would suggest.Shares will have to be purchased, hence hopefully now bidding in market place.Possibly large chunk after hours last night will have gone towards trustee purchases.

so....is the above a step in the right direction, a nice way to reward Ewan and his team for a strong performance when it comes....or an exercise in smoke and mirrors....a way for Ewan and his cronies to fleece SEGR?

Would be nice if we had rns in next few days to confirm directors buying at this level, given price as been beaten down on the belief that results would be worse than reported today imho.

SOLARNO LOPEZ, would be keen to read your take on the above - you seem to be well connected within SEGR and have some knowledge most others don't have.
