ken, if you like research stocks take a look at IIR which will show some serious growth this year[although equity research]. I also hold TOL and these before I get slapped down :o)

TOL. Yes. Still very confident. I've posted why from time to time on the ADFVN Tol bb. Not my usual style of share -high current PE ratio, but the growth in the online research sector remains explosive, and those high PEs are going to come tumbling down this year and next.

You beat me to it egoi!
Also in for 50k (3.95p):-)

Liars flagged these up to me a while back and I was merely waiting for confirmation on trading.
Trust me to be away when they announced a trading update, so I've been in "catch up" mode since arriving back at 4pm!

I also think of my 50k as a start......

Nice to see such good company on the thread.

O/T
Congratulations on your competition win Liars and good luck tonight!

Kind regards,
GHF

Well that's it, I'm in on the drop - as I said 4p was too tempting. Bought 50k shares for a start (3.925p).

Ls - can't see this summer going without another correction. Can markets advance when Greenspan has mentioned the "R" word? Okay, so it may not be RCG, or STBR (keeping it on-topic), but I think powder dry for May-September is a good formula if Coke haven't patented it yet... :0)

Positive comment on STBR here - I know from experience this guy knows his stuff and picks and chooses well:

Southern Bear, 'Record Trading Since AIM Admission' – the Bear has turned into a 'Bull'
Author: IC | Posted: @ 12:35
Southern Bear, a company focused on the UK industrial and engineering sector, yesterday announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Tarvail Limited, had achieved record sales and profit figures in the two months following its acquisition and the Company's admission to AIM.

We participated in the EIS qualifying issue back in November at 3p per share and the shares are curremtly trading at 4.25p .

Sales in the two month period to 31 January 2007 were over £1 million which is apparently c65% above budget. Profits are also correspondingly higher. The record sales in this period are due to an increased level of business with the Company's key clients. The Company has also successfully implemented a cost reduction programme in order to control overheads and further boost profits.

More acquisitions are likely over the next few months.

Shouldn't we expect more announcements on these lines following IPO. It just seems that many companies fail to deliver."

rivaldo/liars

i just picked this up from a friend of mine whose been looking at it, suggested i give some time to it. Nice to see some familiar faces. I need to bring myself up to speed with it so forgive me if i'm a little slow.

I looked back briefly over some of the posts and it seems there are some broker notes available, they might have been from yourself liars. Could you please let me have a copy to read over the weekend so i can do further research, would be very grateful.

need to digest the news flow and prospects price etc before making a decision on investing but will, as always, post if i buy.

regards

If it is Hoodless Rivaldo, i wouldn't be surprised if they move the offer down to 4p either today or Monday - ahead of anyone else, of course. And that might prove too tempting! L2 is now 2 on sell at 3.5p, and 3 on the offer at 4.25p (including Hoodless).

So do I egoi. And their clients aren't much better, presumably selling out for a tiny turn when so much more is possible.

STBR were on a low enough P/E to start with - imo anyone selling now is just being extremely short-sighted. I feel a top-up coming on!

If they decided to sell them all it wouldn't even though they fall through the 3% threshhold, as even if it is over several sessions/even weeks, it can be classified as a single transaction. AIM rules decidedly unhelpful to small investors on this imho.

EDIT: SCAP just dropped too; now WINS at 4p then 2 on 3.5p.

An RNS for 700,000 might indicate they weren't selling any more - which knowing Hoodless, would be unusual. I personally agree with previous comments about them!

egoi

If they do have 3.6% then a sale of around 700,000 should trigger an RNS
