11/6/2016 18:16 | Current management will give an opinion if the offer materialises. They can't lose. Swapping one boss (shareholders dominated by the possible acquirers) for the new boss of the existing dominant shareholders and losing smaller palyers. For all we know management are on side with a sweetner (verbal) if they recommend any offer. No smaller PI can say. When it comes to serious money all sorts goes on behind the scenes. The timing is excellent, much longer and the price may be a few pence higher as results likely to be positive. You do have to admire some market operators. They really know their game. | p1nkfish
11/6/2016 17:51 | Im appalled that the company has allowed this cheap buyout to happen. I have waited for years - beginning of medical solutions and was beginning to believe I would get my money back. At this price not even half my average share price Disappointed. I was wondering if this was the reason for Buywell's departure?? Buywell did you know this was coming??? | peterz
11/6/2016 10:02 | Unfortunately, without some riding in to offer more, yes. Stuffed. Even a counter offer needs to please Harwood et al and will get short shrift unless 18p + big premium. The premium needs to allow for future growth and free cash flow that would otherwise acrue to Harwood et al. Probably need a decent cash element plus equity. I've been lucky with my buys but would prefer to see this blossom over the next 2-5 yrs than get taken out now. Can live with 18p but should be higher. | p1nkfish
09/6/2016 09:01 | Guys, are we stuffed. Are we all but taken over. If so I will certainly be gutted at this price. And with the great potential for the future. | peterz
07/6/2016 23:15 | It's not an opening offer but a ceiling for Harwood and floor for any counter offer with all the cards in Harwoods hands. You have to admire the smart operator in action. | p1nkfish
07/6/2016 18:22 | Yes exactly y understanding too so what is all this talk about 18 p being an opening bid excetra excetra? If anything the wording of the document is to the downside - presumably to shake out more shares at 17 p on the bid.Very well executed and very cynically done. I am astonished this company will go for such a paltry sum. | tubigrip
07/6/2016 12:05 | Tubigrip, as a layman, that's the way I am reading it, with a shrewd game having been played by Harwood to get their backing up to 50%. Having been in for about 10 years at an average bp of around 7p, this will have been a steady investment if indeed 18p comes to fruition. Of course, 20p would delight me, but I guess this is now only possible in the unlikely event of a counter offer. | wilkie_hk
07/6/2016 11:40 | Isnt the issue here that they have ovr 50 pc so its a dine deal? If management reject they just vote them all out? | tubigrip
07/6/2016 08:49 | 20-21p more realistic, maybe a 2-3p dividend as a caveat will make the deal?. | bartdude

03/6/2016 10:01 | I'm surprised at just how "under the radar" SBS is (to the extent we don't even appear on the highest risers list!). Edit ...interestingly SBS has now appeared on the list for the first time today c. 10:45. | gerd212
03/6/2016 09:27 | They won't pay more than 18p and hold a high %. They can't lose. If a bid comes in from elsewhere it must be > 18p. Ceiling set for Harwood, floor for any other interested party. Not impossible for an alternative offer to crash the party but would have to be enough premium over 18p to get the 50%+ on-side. Mills knows his onions. | p1nkfish
03/6/2016 09:23 | yep, let's see what happens to CRX in the next 3 months and if related to this at all. interesting to watch, can do no more than that now, die is nearly cast. | p1nkfish
03/6/2016 09:21 | truly stitched at > 50% in total on side from the passing read of the RNS. I think they might move on CRX too and put the 2 companies together. Harwood have stranglehold on that too and complementary in some ways. Or, part of SBS is bonded with CRX. Just looks too complimentary and Harwood as the main player. | p1nkfish
03/6/2016 09:03 | Well, that's a bittersweet start to the new thread! | gerd212
03/6/2016 07:36 | That is a disappointing premium even if it gives Me just over 50% profit in less than 3 years. It does, however, look like they have it stitched up | this_is_me

01/6/2016 14:43 | buywell2's most recent posts - " buywell2 - 15 Apr 2016 - 12:19:23 - 2467 of 2476 The recent rise and interest in diamond stocks Makes one wonder if many are preparing for the flight from paper currency When and if helicopter money gets implemented That will be the time when diamonds and GOLD rise Last post from buywell2 on advfn buy buy Proteome Sciences leading Alzheimer's technology. - PRM buywell2 - 15 Apr 2016 - 12:15:15 - 61170 of 62192 buywell2 has closed down all his threads buy buy Best of luck to all here cos you sure are going to need it " It would seem that "buywell" is serious about giving up on ADVFN! 27/5/2016 18:49 | Buywell - where are you? | peterz
23/5/2016 17:33 | So, I suppose the flatline may continue right up until 9th June, when we should get our AGM statement. Hopefully 'strong growth in all areas maintained', which may trigger a couple of pence gain in the ensuing weeks. A cautious statement indicating growth has stalled and it may be time to push the sell button. As these are a little 'tucked away in the sock draw' for me, I wondered what our man with his finger on the pulse (Buywell) is expecting by way of a statement from the AGM. | wilkie_hk
16/5/2016 13:33 | On the same theme as 'peterz', why no price charts? | diamond1
13/5/2016 08:10 | Where is the thread now???? Oops, noticed note at top of thread saying threads closed. mistake. | peterz |
