Director/PDMR Shareholding

Sound Energy, the African and European focused upstream gas company, announces that it was notified on 20 February 2017 that Greenberry plc ("Greenberry") disposed of EUR100,000 of the Company's 5.0% unsecured notes due 21 June 2021 ("5.0% Bonds") at an aggregate price of EUR103,000 on 16 February 2017. The 5.0% Bonds are traded on the Euro MTF Market of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.

Marco Fumagalli, a director of the Company, is Managing Partner of, and a 25% shareholder in, Continental Investment Partners SA ("Continental"). Greenberry is an affiliate of Continental by virtue of its common ownership.

The notification below, made in accordance with the requirements of the Market Abuse Regulation, provides further detail.
