yes peeps, but today it was moving up steadily over a period of about an hour and no shares were being traded - or at least being reported. It just struck me as unusual - I've a position in SPE and have been topping up recently so watching it fairly closely. Maybe nowt though it seems.

Doesn't take much volume to move the share price here, MMs act very quickly to even small transactions, perhaps because they don't hold many on the books?

I was buying yesterday, first transaction just under 240p but next ones a few pence higher, had to wait until this morning to buy again at under 240p.

I think from a charting perspective there was always a big gap (200p - 350p)that was begging to be filled. Looks like the job is now done imo.

The loan notes are not convertible until January 2019, It is 2 million but I'd say there's no need to worry at present given the timescale.

I am sorry to cast a small dampener on enthusiasm here that seems almost unanimous but do these eps projections allow for the large number of shares under option and loan stock convertible at c.70p?
Furthermore a large proportion of profits in good years goes to staff as bonuses.
SPE has been one of my best shares this year as I bought at under 100p and have sold 3/8ths of my holding at about 300p. I must confess to being rather nervous about the current price level but hope that the majority here may prove right.

Maybe dividend?? If the range 35-40p Eps is reached! Than you will see an extra boost for the stock. We will see

Someone managed a buy at 242p on the dip, I was too slow. These price levels are likely to look a bargain after the next trading update, brokers estimate for this financial year are for EPS of 26.70p. With sterling at 1.23 to the dollar and the most recent interim statement showing continued momentum, I will stick my neck out and estimate between 35p and 40p EPS.

Added a few more. It's a compelling story of impressive earnings growth. Difficult to find anything else out there that has turned a corner so quickly. First class management as well, they under promise and over deliver.

Thats right we just don't know 'when' the statement will come - it could be any time from early Nov to early Jan - so some degree of patience is required imo in the mean time.

Two more tranches bought back yesterday and today. My mistake was only selling 40% last September. May test 240's again & that may tempt me for a few more. Like other posters I am expecting a strong update. Based upon the last few years anytime from 7th Nov to 8th Jan.
