Joining the party a little late here, after looking at SOM last August but buying in only last week.

I've written a little on my reasoning for the buy here, if anyone is interested:

Any comments or criticisms welcomed.

Happy holder, now up 99% since i bought in! I'm expected this to be acquired in the next 12 months though - valuation isnt overly demanding, low capital requiresments, proven management and strong underlying drivers.

That is what i found most interesting in today's results was the geographical reach. Low penetration into China and, importantly, early signs of activity on the sales front looking promising. To me, there looks like loads to go for in this just one market alone.

Europe also looks in a similar situation along with Scandinavia and Australia also showing signs of promise.

All this and not counting USA which could be huge if Trumps plans come to fruition.

This one goes up in 5 or 6 candle sticks over a 10 day period, check the chart. Plenty more to come.

New Buyers are just going to have to be patient and then wait for the next leg up after consolidation.

What a lovely strong set of results reported today.

The outlook statement and tone of the report were very upbeat. Particularly pleased to read that strong performance in the largest market USA has carried over to 2017, which is backed up by reports from their customers that lengthy project backlogs extending well into 2017. And then they mention proposals of US infrastructure spending which reinforces confidence.

As mention other main markets Europe and China also looking strong with exciting growth opportunities there as well as elsewhere.

And then the icing on the cake is the 70% increase in final dividend payment with a special dividend mention again later this year.

Finncap revised 2017 forecasts are rather modest?

Revenue - $84.7m
PBT - $24m
EPS - 27.4 (4.6% growth)
DPS - 11.5

As 3rd eye states above, target price increased to 325p

Good point FF, rather have a special divi than a buyback. Should appeal.

Tremendous results here.

By my calcs i make that EPS of 22.5p, so a substantial beat in the end. Massive increase in divi is most welcomed.

I really like the bit about the low penetration into China, so there should be absolutely loads to shoot for there in that one country alone...

There was mention of a capital return earlier, and buried low down in the results - nice to see that we can expect this as a special div (not a buyback):

"The Board will then assess the level of excess cash that may be subject to distribution back to shareholders through a special dividend later in 2017."
