If they can dump that amount of shares into the market on a regular basis with buyers for them what can happen once the supply stops

Simon,

They only had 600m left at last announcement, already 85m traded today and one day earlier this month volume hit 129m. Imo they'll be all out before spudding, already there's been 500m changed hands this month on daily volume. I'm expecting to see 0.5p during drilling let alone after a +ve result if the appraisal well is successful. 0.5p is a mere £30m cap or so, the potential at Ntorya alone is around 1.5Tcf. Some people are never happy though, NR has taken this one through a large discovery at HH, bought into production at KN-1 and now has the company on the verge of drilling a company making appraisal well at a time of the greatest pressure on the O&G industry in my 27 years of investing. My portfolio used to be exclusively O&G, now its 85% mining. The fact that he was able to raise money at all shows the strength of the current assets. The fact that SOU reached a ridiculous £500m cap recently suggests anything is possible here. SOLO and AEX have better assets and as NR said in the above interview, Ntorya could be developed and in production in months rather than years.

Regards,
Ed.

yep, huge drag on the share price and leaving large overhang which will take a long time to work through....,result of classic NR management. They are turning around at a profit, so it may be a good indicator that the share price hasn't fallen to or under the placing price....

We need some good results from the appraisal wells in Tanz to get this motoring up! I think our dreams of perhaps seeing a penny one day need to be reviewed, perhaps half a penny if we are lucky...company has just been so diluted now and we can't guarantee NR won't pull the same again.

Tromso,

Cheers for posting that. Great interview, rig up just running final testing! Should be drilling on schedule at that rate imo. Also N-2 to possibly confirm hundreds of Bcf and NR suggests that it'll add about £70m to the cap here as suspected. That's about 1.25p per share, that'll do nicely just before they do the production test at HH-1. Both chaps seem really confident and positive to the direction of these companies. Good volume here today too, shouldn't take long now to clear the rest of the overhang given what's about to take place and the CoS of the next well. Also very interesting that they anticipate, especially the chap from AEX, that the licence gets increased potential for oil the further west, N-3 is planned for about 5.65km west of N-1.

Ed.

Edgein, appreciate the reply. But I must confess I was joking. Read about your namesake's skin fetish:

Kev,

Yes I'm currently accumulating these while the large insti seller is helping fill orders. The action will kick off here in December on the spudding of N-2, I intend to have finished accumulating by then. Also excitement will build over the LPT of HH-1 early next year too. So I'm hoping this one turns into another 88e or SOLG, its always best to get in early for companies like these. Also when the security situation improves in the Nigerian Delta you could see them adding substantial 2P for a small cap on completion of that deal.

Ed.

Well that's clearing them out very well, only 600m left to go. Not bad when you consider one day last week saw 129m changing hands and I could see that being matched or higher on spudding RNS. Still approx 1 month of trading left before spud.

Ross,

Well that'll soon change as the decision on planning permission for the LTP, sidetrack and HH-2 is due early/mid Feb just around the time N-2 should be delivering some log results. Since there is very little priced in here and a 60% CoS on N-2 I'm expecting extreme volatility here too. I'll continue to accumulate here until some of Ntorya is priced in, given AEX suggest that there may be between 1.1-1.5Tcf in Ntorya that's one heck of a lot of volatility to be priced in if successful. Also HH action will kick off around then too. Fair play to you with AEX and ALBA, but I'd rather kill two birds with one stone and keep accumulating SOLO. Especially if they sign off on those Nigerian fields as they would be worth more than the current market cap alone.

Ed.

Ross,

Just because ALBA has a small cap doesn't change the value of HH, it was the highest producing well that's ever been drilled onshore UK. Many companies listed are undervalued. SOLO just happens to be one of those. Yes of course I factored in KN-1. There is very little scope to increase further value there and imo it makes up about £6m of SOLO's current value and about £32-33m for AEX. I didn't factor in either Canada, Nigeria nor IoW here as I don't see them adding much or any short term value. Imo HH will factor into SOLO's share price more when they commence the LPT and followup drilling of HH-2. Ntorya however isn't in the price here and its current large discovery and potentially going to be very big around Jan/Feb 17 after appraisal drilling (60% CoS according to AEX). Fingers crossed.

Regards,
Ed.

Ed; great post.
I agree a little with what ross is saying though. and regardless of the argument SOLO will move quicker (both ways) because of AIM I feel.

Fair enough, buy AEX then rather than SOLO. Even though SOLO have practically nothing in the price for Ntorya and AEX have at least £30m of their cap for Ntorya at present. In 2014 SOLO went from around 0.3p to 1.3p on their 6.5% working interest on HH. The long term production test on HH-1 and the drilling of HH-2 is upcoming. I could see HH alone sending the cap above £30m regardless of Ntorya. SOLO's 25% of Ntorya would be highly valuable compared to its tiny cap and result in a multi-bagger if successful, let alone N-3. So too would the wi for AEX, and see it multi bag. I could see where a really strong result early next year could send SOLO over £75m and AEX potentially £210-250m. Nothing to stop them when you look at the price of PANR and SOU on their recent results. SOLO is as much for investors as AEX, they both have similar assets but remarkably different caps at present, both will have significantly higher caps if the 2 appraisal wells on Ntorya are successful. Where is the hype in SOLO? The caps a mere £14.5m and they have 25% of a large gas discovery in Tanz and 6.5% in one of the largest onshore UK oilfields, probably second only to BP's wytch farm. Hype = 0, upside = huge.

Ed.
