07/1/2013 16:17 | Not ex-growth because of expanding business in educational supplies. | beaufort1
07/1/2013 15:59 | will need upgrades to get to 240 I think. 12* is a high multiple for a business in an ex-growth area. Upgrades would seem not to be impossible though, it wouldn't take much | markie7
07/1/2013 15:45 | It would only be 12 x forecast EPS | beaufort1
07/1/2013 15:41 | that would be sensational, but I don't disagree. | markie7
07/1/2013 15:38 | Target 240p | beaufort1
07/1/2013 15:12 | great run pre going ex-div this week. | markie7
05/1/2013 12:43 | We shouldn't get too excited about promotion to the FTSE250. A lot of other stocks have done well recently, so the benchmark will be raised. | lord gnome
04/1/2013 23:51 | If it gets to within 5% or so of the target line for getting into the FTSE 250 then I think the tracker funds and index buyers will start buying it ahead of any promotion. It will also be hitting more radars. Not a high rating and of course a 6% dividend will be attractive to income funds so I would not rule out a strong move up to £2 in the next three months before the March FTSE shuffle but it will probably need at least £2.20 and depend on other stocks falling to get in. | davidosh
04/1/2013 18:29 | Interesting idea. Market cap £311m: I think we need closer to 15%, £1.90 or so perhaps. I am not sure if we will make it up to £2 without meeting "big round number resistance", but it would be nice indeed. | edmundshaw
04/1/2013 18:01 | Another 10% rise and this will be in the FTSE250, which should lead to some index buying - but got to get to c£350m mcap | 18bt
04/1/2013 12:53 | Lupins - none that i'm aware of. however NWS goes x-div next weds (9/1), followed by IMS the following tues (15/1) so that may be generating some interest. share price has been consolidating for the last 2 months so it may be starting its next leg up. hoping that the IMS will add fuel to the fire. | speedsgh
04/1/2013 12:45 | Good breakout today, any news about?? | lupins2
02/1/2013 14:42 | Next leg up, still well undervalued. | this_is_me
01/1/2013 12:10 | in a way Smiths is following another newspaper distibution company in that IMenzies re-invented itself into airport servicing. I had been concerned about the price after the significant sales around 160p, but it is good to see that price being regained. Up over 105% [in less than a year] and with the dividend I have now set 150p as a stop loss. | bscuit
22/12/2012 13:15 | The original yield is part of the sell consideration due to capital gains considerations since only some of my holding is within ISAs. | this_is_me
22/12/2012 11:50 | Current yield is good, value is good. Yield on your original investment may make you rub your hands Shylock-like, but is not logically a part of the decision-making process. Sunk profits, so to speak... | edmundshaw
22/12/2012 11:18 | I am happy to continue to hold during the share p[rice consolidation. The company is still undervalued, growing. The current yield is 6% or 12% on my origional investments so I am happy to continue to hold. | this_is_me
21/12/2012 08:09 | So, getting ready for it all eh? hic! .................... | n3tleylucas
11/12/2012 08:19 | MMs taking stops out placed in the corridor of uncertainty that always afflicts stocks facing a new breakout. If these get through it on a 24 hour basis Ill be in. | mechanical trader
10/12/2012 09:43 | well it hasn't been deleted yet... | sportbilly1976
09/12/2012 18:52 | Just a fat finger exercise. Never 50 million shares traded. | lord gnome |
