11/3/2014 16:59 | Lets hope they will pay a special or increase the quarterly divi's moving forward. Could they buy ZDP shares in the market and cancel them ahead of 2018? | mozy123

27/2/2014 23:43 | Should never post after a bottle of vino LordGnome! | envirovision
27/2/2014 11:11 | Cheers Aleman - I would have hoped that Norman Lamonts experiences would have prevented exessive gearing. Guess Politicians never learn. | mozy123
27/2/2014 10:20 | The company was hit hard by gearing on the way down (more so than actual dividend cuts), selling off assets at collapsed priced to reduce borrowing by over half to get below a self-imposed 30% limit. (At least I think it was self-imposed rather than bank-imposed.) I suspect it will have taught them a lesson but I know lots of people that never learn. | aleman
27/2/2014 09:25 | In 2008 13.65p was paid to holders - what caused the big drop in dividends? Were more shares issued? Or was it just the underlying investments getting smashed in the Credit Crunch? Good to see the revenue reserve as high as it is. | mozy123
27/2/2014 08:47 | Que? Has envirovision been at the wacky bakky? Looks like we can look forward to a dividend hike then, Aleman. Most welcome. | lord gnome
26/2/2014 22:42 | The latest accrued income is 5.87p compared to 2.17p this time last year. That's a hefty increase. In the last year, 6.76p has been paid out in dividends and the accrued revenue per share is still up 3.7p! | aleman
26/2/2014 22:31 | And another new high: SMALL COMPANIES DIVIDEND TRUST PLC "The Company announces: Total Assets (including unaudited revenue reserves at 21 February 2014) of GBP41.28m Net Assets (including unaudited revenue reserves at 21 February 2014) of GBP32.01m The Net Asset Value (NAV) at 21 February 2014 was: Number of shares in issue Per Ordinary share (bid price) - including unaudited current period revenue* 193.44p 16,550,000 Per Ordinary share (bid price) - excluding current period revenue* 187.61p Ordinary share price 183.75p Discount to NAV (5.01)% Ordinary shares have an undated life ZDP share 109.05p 8,500,000 ZDP shares are held in a subsidiary and have a redemption date of 8 January 2018 *Current period revenue covers the period 01 May 2013 to 21 February 2014, including a one off special dividend from Avesco PLC of GBP500,500 equivalant to 3.02 pence per Ordinary share. | aleman
19/2/2014 10:30 | THat's a new 6+ year high for NAV, I believe. | aleman
19/2/2014 10:26 | The Company announces: Total Assets (including unaudited revenue reserves at 14 February 2014) of GBP40.70m Net Assets (including unaudited revenue reserves at 14 February 2014) of GBP31.44m The Net Asset Value (NAV) at 14 February 2014 was: Number of shares in issue Per Ordinary share (bid price) - including unaudited current period revenue* 189.95p 16,550,000 Per Ordinary share (bid price) - excluding current period revenue* 184.12p Ordinary share price 179.50p Discount to NAV (5.50)% Ordinary shares have an undated life ZDP share 108.93p 8,500,000 ZDP shares are held in a subsidiary and have a redemption date of 8 January 2018 *Current period revenue covers the period 01 May 2013 to 14 February 2014, including a one off special dividend from Avesco PLC of GBP500,500 equivalent to 3.02 pence per Ordinary share. | aleman
19/2/2014 01:28 | very true enviro | mozy123
18/2/2014 23:19 | Mmmm but it don't pay around 9p per share divi circa 5% and growing coupled with capital growth though as sdv is on track to do over a year. | envirovision
18/2/2014 20:41 | The lord does! Im in HSL as well - that has an even bigger discount to NAV. | mozy123
18/2/2014 20:33 | The Lord speaks sense | trentendboy
18/2/2014 19:13 | Given that a good number of ITs are currently at a premium to NAV I can only agree, envirovision. This will recover further after its recent dip, but I can't see it getting back to such dizzy heights in a hurry. There is no compelling value on offer other than the discount to NAV. The yield is now only average for yield hunters. A buy if you think that small caps are set for another cracking year, but I just don't see it at present. | lord gnome |
