31/8/2015 20:42 | share-cruise... I stand corrected...the 10 year PSI was under the previous regime...this has now been cut to 5 years. If SRSP applied for and were granted PSI status, would this warrant an rns? | htrocka2
31/8/2015 19:44 | Hotrocka the pioneer tax benefit is for 5 years, and SRSP are eligible The drop in service costs, low production costs and add in the above with the other field and SRSP are very appealing indeed | share_cruise
31/8/2015 18:37 | Oil is moving up nicely. Just what the Dr ordered for SRSP, if not for my fuel tank. An ill wind and all that. | drrichard
31/8/2015 13:53 | This new Government are to re-introduce and expand the PSI tax scheme. With the previous regime, these tax holidays for the oil sector have been hard to come by or, in many cases, refused.(heads have already rolled for unsatisfactory reasons for denying PSI status by the previous regime) If SRSP put out an rns stating that they've acquired PSI status, this would give them a ten year tax holiday, that would encourage investors. There are a couple minor compliance rules, ie, increase in indigenous employment and the profits that would have been subject to tax to be reinvested in the project. By acquiring the PSI status, SRSP would be committed to a deadline and have to pull their fingers out so as to maximise profits within the ten year period. personal comment.. The acquisition of PSI status would undoubtedly encourage and add leverage to a potential J/V. | htrocka2
31/8/2015 12:20 | Good post Htrocka2. Mr Dangote has big ambitions doesn't he? Gonna need some energy to keep his plants running. Wonder if we know anyone who might have gas and oil for him? | drrichard
31/8/2015 09:20 | O/T Nigeria soon to be swamped with cash.. The large investments being made in cement production indicates an explosive expansion in infra structure that will create an even larger demand for hydrocarbons. Suddenly, since Buhari's cultural change...every one want's to pump cash into Africa | htrocka2
