11/5/2017 10:05 | Every firm has to have costs but you know this. Are you getting twitchy? | hazl

11/5/2017 09:48 | So a dilution may not effect them? | dp1umb
11/5/2017 09:08 | Shows the value of the underlying commodity. IMO | hazl
11/5/2017 07:07 | "With the exception of oil, gas, coal, gold and silver, the state does not own mineral rights in the UK. Generally minerals are held in private ownership, and information on mineral rights, where available, is held by the Land Registry together with details of land surface ownership." above taken from the British geological survey - i read somewhere in SXX 's output that they have agreed mineral rights with"95%" of relevant landowners- though obviously no cash figures given, so its an operating expense. | casapinos
10/5/2017 23:57 | I do agree whith you! But i do not know the share structure of sxx , do they hold ordinary shares or a different class or are they paid a royalty? | dp1umb
10/5/2017 22:54 | dp1umb: As a fundraising tool, absolutely agree. As a tool that won't interfere with the spinning political and community plates: perhaps not so much. My point being that with this project there is a sound extra-numerical business incentive to keep equity in the hands of those that already own it. Perhaps a small effect overall, but one more nudge in a direction that keeps me invested. | plasticjohn
10/5/2017 22:35 | If your share price has got ahead of it self it makes perfect sense to use equity as a fundraising tool, instead of burdening yourself with debt, you can then buy back equity in the future. | dp1umb
10/5/2017 22:12 | Apols bad link, try again: | ppvn
10/5/2017 22:10 | Well my intention was certainly not to imply that more dilution would be required; as from various Sirius presentatioms as well as this government presentation ( stipulates debt, and more notably "senior debt" - i.e. secured against assets we will have in place by H2 2018. Its just the term "anticipated" and my inherent suspicion of fundraising that keeps it on my mind! | ppvn
10/5/2017 21:38 | One point that strikes me re: the likelihood of stage 2 being 100% debt-funded. It does appear that Sirius needs to keep the local community around Whitby onside, and many of that community -- including the owners of the land under which the mine will be sunk -- were early investors. Thus, more dilution would tend to produce knock-on effects that I expect the company would wish to avoid. | plasticjohn
10/5/2017 21:33 | Casapinos..........y | hazl
10/5/2017 21:32 | ppvn: Thanks again. Keep 'em coming. | plasticjohn
10/5/2017 17:09 | Casapinos (and all who have made kind comments). All very welcome. Hopefully all my conjecture is correct and in a few weeks or months we will burst upward in a flurry of profitability for all invested here! Thanks also for the Stage 2 financing detail; I'm just a suspicious sort and until the fat lady sings, details are in an RNS and the cash is in the bank... well I'll remain a hopeful skeptic. Have a good evening one and all. | ppvn
10/5/2017 16:34 | hazl i accept that I can learn an awful lot , from many sources, whether i can understand it , remember it and act accordingly is the problem!! | casapinos
10/5/2017 16:12 | casapinos......the younger generation can often provide some valid reasoning if you run the odd investment past them I have found. Years ago my daughter thought ASOS looked good when I showed it to her and started using them straight away! I had bought Arcadia before that which owned Top Shop because she and all of her friends used to shop there at the time. I haven't always taken advantage of their experience in that way, but technology and social media, certainly, you can learn a lot from the youngsters. IMO | hazl
10/5/2017 16:04 | ONE OR TWO NICE TRADES going through by the looks of it......... | hazl
10/5/2017 15:53 | Is the share suspended? | investment dave
10/5/2017 15:44 | PPVN another virtuoso performance. I won't respond with my usual Blizzard of questions 'cos you have just about clarified all i wished to know/understand. I get that Chris France (with his background in mine Finance) and the bond holders probably both hoped and expected what your series of posts has laid out WRT the share price action over the short term and presumably we can regard stasis as pretty good news - the share price absorbing a significant drip feed of conversion - based sales, without tanking. Was it also a strategy on the part of the company to act as a "poison pill", to honour my commitment above i didn't suffix that last statement with a question mark - call it rhetorical! I also took the view that the cash on the balance sheet would essentially diminish , turning intangibles into tangibles over time. Finally as my contribution to data provision I offer the following " The stage 1 financing requirement of $1.2 billion (mixture of royalty, debt and equity) is well progressed. Stage 2 financing of up to $2.6 billion will be required in 2018 and is anticipated to consist entirely of senior debt." Taken from "regeneration project Sirius minerals" issued on 19/2/17 by HMG,the fact that HMG has signed up to "backing" the project means , i think that, your expectation of all /mainly debt at advantageous rates is well-founded. As to your concerns about being held responsible for financial advice in the event of disaster - worry not , despite my naivete in this matter i am a seasoned investor, of many years, retired early , two decades ago. My main portfolio which keeps me in fillet steak and Turkey Flat Shiraz is much too conservative to feature SXX, this is part of a hobby portfolio aimed at funding my grandkids through uni -though given that their current aspirations include RADA, Imperial, Oxford and MIT, it(or some other blue sky picks )needs to perform!!! | casapinos
10/5/2017 14:57 | I think it's a load of old POT-ASH! | hazl

10/5/2017 12:08 | I have asked my broker about Stamp Duty and Bed and Isas and received this, so it looks to be a very grey area. Dear Client Thank you for your email. Stamp Duty is payable on purchases if the companies have not opted out of this option. We have no control over the payment of Stamp Duty. If SXX.L have opted out of Stamp Duty then you will not be required to pay it on any purchases. Kind Regards, Client Services | nugacity |
