It's good news but could also be a desperation sale dressed up as a strategic move IMO - as 56% of sales are now gone, along with all profit. Total liabilities are still c.£50m after the sale - for a loss-making company that has sold off the family silver and is being eked out for the sake of all those involved's salaries.

The settlement means this can continue for a long time. I hope I'm wrong in my brief assessment and I could well be. Maybe the remaining business has a big future and does seem to have good margins; but there are two sides to every story.

The part of the business some reckoned nobody would want - gone at a decent price....

Debt gone at a stroke.....

Still in talks re remaining assets/strategy for going fwd.....implies no. of players still in the game

Results were none too shabby but in some ways now immaterial.....

· Revenues increased by 19.4% to £75.9m (7.7% Like-for-like1 growth)

· Aesthetic brands growth drives strong gross margin improvement to 62.9% from 56.5% in 2014

· Silhouette growth rate 120% LFL

· Ellansé growth rate 86% LFL (excluding Korea)

· Silhouette Instalift FDA approved in April 2015, with launch expected in 2016

· Adjusted EBITDA2 increased 70% to £17.1m

· Operating profit of £4.5m (2014: loss of £1.8m)

A deal as been done but not the final one. They have money in the bank now and can go either two ways sell or develop, statement said their are companies still interested. SPH IMHO are now in a very strong position let us hope that the market agrees.

If they did as you say eggbaconandzubble then a whole year has passed ! so much for pressure !!! or is it simply, whoever looks at the business closely finds it is a hotchpot, over valued and losing money.

I could well be wrong but I get the feeling that the appointment of Rothschilds was not all quite as it seems.
If I remember correctly, don't Tosca build up positions in undervalued companies and then put pressure on management to 'realise shareholder value'?

Thanks YorkieMike, I could not find interims as not on their web site ( wonder why as all others are there) nice presentation though of the interims, demonstrating Losses of over £10M at half year. second half they say is always better. How much better we will find out sometime soon. I hope before the anniversary (25 November 2014) of the appointment of Rothschilds to "realise value" i assume that was sell the company.

At the interim stage (i.e. H1 2015 - 31 December 2014), cash stood @ £14.2m and net debt was £44.2m. I therefore make it that cash has reduced by £1.5m and net debt has reduced by £2m over the six months to 30 June 2015 using the figures detailed in the trading statement. The loss before tax of £10m+ @H1 2015 stage and the reason for it is clearly stated in the interim results.

Dealt... mmmhhh in 2014 year end the correspinding numbers were cash £17.5m and net debt of £40.2 so cash down and debt up, looks to me like losses, but then of course there can be many reasons for that, but my money is on substantial losses.

The Company website has been updated to state that the final results are now due in November (from October previously), with the AGM pushed back to December. I guess we won't have to wait long now to find out whatever has caused the delay...

what sort of nonsense is this... how long have they been in talks ? year ? longer, well the results may reflect that everyone has been in "talks" that is pre-supposing that the accounts being prepared are not held up as all the accountants are in "talks" as well.....
