10/4/2008 08:48 | Whiteboard, conspiracies aside, does ir really matter? You either believe the logic of the argument put forward by the bears such as Mike Stoddart, Iammyself2 etc, or you believe the PR and aspirations of LH and the stale bulls hoping the share can recover from its nosedive. On the face of it the logic supports the bear case. SIL's business model is hanging by a thread. Personally I believe SIL is a great idea which could succeed in benign economic conditions when the travelling public are feeling flush with cash. At times like this with consumers and businesses cash-strapped I fear they will run out of cash to keep the aircraft flying leading to bust or fire sale. | drewz
10/4/2008 08:43 | Is this cheap or what!! | granville2
10/4/2008 08:37 | Just a thought. Could "I Am Myself2" = Mike Stoddart Some of the comments are almost identical. LOL | whiteboard
10/4/2008 08:16 | Update from Daniel Stewart this morning : Silverjet plc - SELL Price: 15.25p Target price: 0p Code: SIL.L Analyst: Mike Stoddart | 0161 830 1892 Last chance to get out? We have had an announcement this morning ..."Silverjet notes the recent increase in its share price. The Company is currently in discussions which may or may not lead to an offer for the issued share capital of the Company. A further announcement will be made when appropriate". We would use this as an opportunity to sell. The high degree of interest in the company from private investors may lead to a big spike in the price today - some are already trying to talk it up to 50-75p. If any prospective bidder does proper due diligence on Silverjet we see a strong probability that they will decide not to bid. We cannot see Silverjet making profits at the current fares and if fares go up, load factors will go down.Shareholders will then be back where they started - wondering how long it will be before the company fails. Value? - Our model shows Silverjet with a net asset value of £9.8m as of 31st march 2008 - equivalent to 15.2p per share. This figure is continually shrinking, though, as the losses mount and we would not use it as a guide to value. We see the losses eventually extinguishing the equity - the rate will depend on the rate of expansion. Which leads us to.. Where are the 4th and 5th aircraft? Despite raising £11.2m in new equity and £10m in new debt in December in order to fund the deposits on theses aircraft (codes G-BYAA and G-BYAB) there is still no word from the company as to when or whether they will take delivery of them. Rumours on websites such as www.pprune.co.uk suggest that the 4th aircraft is parked at Dublin and that the 5th is going to stay with Thomson. | papalpower

09/4/2008 15:09 | You can indeed book half price tickets with that code but it's an offer open only to visa infinite card holders so not exactly available to Joe public ! It's also been running since summer of last year from memory so would hardly class as a recent panic measure to fill seats . To me it seems like a good marketing strategy to introduce the airline to the well healed rather than a fire sale | bobthemonkey

09/4/2008 11:04 | Works fine for me. At the botton is said Toatl for 2 adults £2638.56 the line below said Total Discount 1222.00 and the line below that said Discounted total for 2 passengers £1416.56 The 2 for 1 misses out taxes and charges. Maybe you did not scroll down on your 13 inch monitor? | i am myself2
09/4/2008 10:40 | I am myself2 ( et al ) OK I have done that: flying to Newark on 2 June return 7 June 2 Adults result: Total for 2 adults £2638.56 So much for your accurate information. SilverJet might go down but not nearly as quickly or comprehensively as your credibility!!! | generalmac2
09/4/2008 09:58 | on flysilverjet site you need to type in an offer code into the promo code box. A code applies to each offer and they are given out to all sorts of groups. You can see the fare on offer to one group by typing INFINITE01 into the box and looking for 2 adults to fly mid summer. The airline will be broke before you fly in my view, so please book now and do not use a credit card. | i am myself2
09/4/2008 09:40 | I am myself - you said; Seaching the web shows up many codes for 20% off or 2 for 1 offers I ask again, show me the web searches that show 2 for 1 offers. You cant can you? | doyouwantfries
09/4/2008 09:40 | But who is the fool? Is it not those who fail to research the firms in which they invest? is it those who buy into a firm that then lost 90% of its value? or is it the persion who tried to warn people that it would all go wrong. I have a track record of being correct - please ignore me if you wish. Granville 2 has to ignore me as he is unable to explane why they cannot afford to lease the two extra planes without admiting they are running out of cash and have little chance of more funding. They are doomed in my view and I have told you. | i am myself2
09/4/2008 09:15 | To many people are just greedy. They want the shares to rocket and to fly for half price. The point of telling you that many are going on 2 for 1 deals is to show you how desperate the airline is to look full. Whiteboard will know that I am such a threat to silverjet that someone goes to great lengths to have my posts deleated. I said silverjet were strugling long before anyone else. Now even their supporters admit they are struggling but HOPE they still have a chance of sucess. My postings have been far more accurate than statements from the firm. The end game is near. The shareprice will not fall much if atall. Junk shares always have a value as some fool will think they have a chance. just one day they stop trading. Maxjet shares were quite high when it was suspended. | i am myself2
09/4/2008 08:52 | I am myself - you dont appear to have backed up your ramblings with facts. i.e where can you find 2 for 1 offers? | doyouwantfries
09/4/2008 08:29 | It is rumoured on the pilots rumour networt that one of the next two planes is now in storage at Dublin and the other is being put back in service with Thomson. The firm will have to tell the shareholders at some point. | i am myself2
07/4/2008 23:15 | I am myself2 OK now that post sounds more considered, however both doyouwantfries and myself ( me I mean ) want to know where we can get these 2 for 1. | generalmac2 |
