billbyrne .... nice to see you are still here ..... just when I was starting to think that not top slicing had been a mistake then the share price starts going back up .... however, I'll forego topping up at 10 shares at a time :-)

The dealing limit online with selftrade is just 10 shares. I'd say
theres not to many shares about. The dealing limit last time I bought
was 3000. Every buy moving the price at the moment.

Parvez,
can't t/o a private firm without BOD agreement though ... and it would have to be a cracking offer LOL ... would you sell at say a 50% premium if you thought this was going to achieve great future long-term growth? No! ... these firms won't sell unless either the growth slows, the firm/market matures, or the offer is massive LOL ...

N3, agree growth can not be maintained however not bad for a start-up company. I think this one will be taken out at a high multiple by one of the big boys....even before it gets to the kind of numbers you and I might be expecting.

LOL ... that's good growth!!! ... I don't expect that rate to be maintained ... strewth! ... hey, if this could "simply" grow profits by say 20% YOY for 5 years from 'my' base of say $3.2m pre-tax for maybe 2013? ... that would be great ... and would make the stock cheap & a buy ...

N3, software licencing is where the growth is coming from - 1200% increase YOY so my expectation is that the numbers you have mentioned should be well within 2 years - infact i would not be surprised if it happens this year. I guess the full year results will give us a good view and I will be topping up before the results..

but we have to understand all numbers are for Silanis ... of which SNS has/is a 25% stake/entity ... so when the interim earnings of $1.5m are stated ... (which included a $1m tax credit) ... we must quarter that surely? ... $375,000 net "to us"? ... or £237,000? ... exclude tax credit? ... £79,000? "to us" in real earnings ... growth is good though ... but we need to see "real" profit growth going forward ... these real numbers hardly suggest the MV is too low? ... proper annual profits of around £500,000? to SNS, and £2m? ($3.2m) to Silanis must be met within 2 yrs? to justify the current share price ... but if this can be achieved and bettered ... there is a case for investing ... keep an eye on costs ... and sales growth-rate ... interesting stock ... one that could do very well in a sustained global recovery/bull market ... one of the very, very few stocks I'm watching ... (potentially) a nice 'clean & tidy' little 'growth' stock ...

Parvez,

As i said above, that is what they said in the trading statement before the interims,
they then reported 3 times. I would prefer them to under promise and over
deliver than the other way round, in todays market any under performance is
heavily punished.

/greater than twice that achieved in 2010

Slightly disappointing in my opinion. At halfway stage it was nearly 3 times so did things slow down in H2? I think I will hold of until actual results before doing anything.

If you look at what they said in the trading update before the interims,

As previously reported in the final 2010 results published 30 March 2011, Silanis saw a return to revenue growth and profitability in H2 2010. This trend has continued and accelerated in 2011 as demonstrated by the contract wins announced thus far this year. As such the turnover for Silanis in H1 2011 is expected to be greater than twice that achieved in the comparative period of 2010.

Turnover greater than twice that achieved in the comparative period. It actually came in at three times that achieved in the comparative period. I think we could be looking at a similar situation for the full year.

RNS Release 18 January 2012

Silanis International Limited (the "Company") and its sole investment,

Silanis Technology Inc. ("Silanis")

Trading Update

The Company (AIM: SNS) is pleased to provide a trading update on Silanis. The Company's sole investment is a 24.98% interest in the outstanding shares of Silanis, from which the value of the Company is derived. The Company expects to announce audited 2011 results for both companies by the end of March 2012.

As previously reported in the H1 2011 results published 30 August 2011, Silanis saw the continuation of revenue growth and profitability which began in H2 2010 as its core financial services target market recovered from severe global recession.

This trend has continued for full year 2011 as demonstrated by the contract wins announced to date. In particular, Silanis has added three top-10 North American banks as enterprise licensees in 2011. As a result the turnover for Silanis in 2011 is expected to be greater than twice that achieved in 2010 and Silanis also expects to report a profit for the full year 2011.
