waste of money and arrogant suggestion that if shareholders do not vote in favour the company could use an alternative and expensive procedure.seems Management has nothing better to do.Get out and start selling!

Name change seems to be a waste of money - Stratagies covers Realisations?

Need to start selling the rump of the portfolio, if the name of the company is so important, so that it doesn't mis-represent what the company is now doing.

Yes it is. As an aside, if you currently own them outside an isa, there is a case to trigger the loss now to offset gains made elsewhere and then buy them back in the isa. I did this with bombed out banks a few years ago and it worked out quite well!

is this stock isa-able?

I think the seller will take some shifting, which is why I'm happy to bide my time, but you have a valid point about missing the trade for a penny or so.

It will be nice to get a "feel" from the new team.

I was happy to buy At 54p but then the nav went up to 93.5p so I did pay 54.25p and was happy to. I know there are sellers in the wings but if the worm has turned then you might end up paying 57p through gritted teeth. It will be interesting to see if the sellers move down to 55p tomorrow and if those buyers at 54.5p pay up or disappear.

Tiltonboy - you talk about impatient buyers but I can see a 20% return in 2013 so who cares about trying to get that extra 1% at the risk if missing out.

I dont want them to rally yet; I want to buy more stock at the lower levels. I think there has been an opportunity for everyone to get stock at those levels, but maybe impatience and naivety on the part of others now seems to have played into the sellers hands.

Of course, an announcement might come out tomorrow and the shares go shooting up, and I will be the one who has missed out.

True but at least we are talking about higher levels, rallies start with such thinking....

You seem to have forgotten the 475,000 on the offer in the closing auction!

I know you are trying to pick up stock at 53.5p tiltonboy but for the rest of us it is quite encouraging to see a lump on the bid at 54.5p and a bad trade at 55.75p

and now the seller can see some demand he has upped his order to 250k!

The uncrossing is done at the level where most business can be matched. The seller was showing 100k at 55p, but then the buyers tried to out do each other and forced the price higher. With a few seconds to spare a buyer put 99,999 on the bid at 55.25p knowing the shares would cross at 55p in the auction if nobody else came in. However, other did come in, and as Hezza mentioned, gifted the seller an extra 0.75p on his sale.

As for the business on at the moment, there is 100k showing at 55.5p, but who knows what price they will go through at if the buyers behave the same again.

The seller is ongoing, I will remain patient!

tiltonboy can you see if the buyer was one or if there were many just bidding very high? Also, are you saying that if somebody goes on the board now he/she can pick up 100k at 55.5? As the auction went at 55.75p does this mean the seller can see the bids at the auction and adjust his offer level accordingly?

Lol. The seller was gifted 55.75 just now. Bit of a head-scratcher seeing as they could have just been filled at 55 as soon as the auction started...

Buyers gazumping each other into the auction forces the trade to go through at 55.75p. Seller has relaoded 100k straight away at 55.5p.

It will be interesting to see if the buyers have got enough firepower to take out the extent of the seller.

The next auction is at 1100. If history is anything to go by, the seller will change his price to match the business with one second to spare.

david,

The stock is on offer on the SETS auction board, which as per above will match business at 1100.

In the meantime the MM price is 54-56.

"There is a 100k on offer at 55p at the moment, "
so why have I just paid 55.99p? - timed 8.55
