Shoprite will not survive much longer... it is rumoured that Tesco's who operate on the Island are and have been in discussion with the Nicholson's who have a controlling interest in Shoprite, to lease some of the site's and convert them into Tesco stores. One in Douglas and the other in Ramsey. In effect Shoprite won't be around for much longer. It's all to do with what is in the best interest of the Nicholson's when instead it should be the common stock holders.

No divi and buoyant economy on Isle of Man.What will happen if Morrisons get Safeway and put more pressure on prices to get Tescos market share.Time to sit back and think.

I think the main reason that Shoprite is now showing a profit is due to the fact that we moved to the Island last year and there are five hungry mouths to feed in this house which takes around three trolley fills a week to keep them going.

You have Moneybags+Family to thank for the turn back into profit.

Plain and simple as that.

You didn't need to move to the Isle Of Man just to help Shoprite get bigger profits but full marks for effort.

Looks like the 42900 trader cut his losses big time, he got fleeced for 23p a share first thing this morning and then cut his losses at 14p!

However, well done the trader who bought 32k yesterday at 11.5p and flogged them all at 16.5p this morning - well done - nice £1500 for a days work.

P&D Jobbie good and proper.

Certainly could be the pump and dump again.
But turnover of £50mill, net assets of £25mill and market cap of £12mill and profitable and positive trading statement ...... could get pumped up with some justification.

something's cooking for it to rise 70% on only 7 trades and no real volume...MM's must be very short on stock or there is one large trade yet to show...will keep an eye on it
