Hi all, new to this thread. Just been looking through the fundamental of SHOE and everything looks pretty good, ticking a lot of boxes for me.

Just one question - on it's stockopedia page it comes up as HIGH for earning manipulation risk (Beneish M-Score) and within that specifically its 'Days sales in receivables index' score of 30.3 seems quite high (should ideally be below 1.248). Has anyone got a clue as to why it's so high?

Sorry to ask such an obscure question, but it's not an area I know huge amount about and just wanted to clear it up. Currently it's the only potential negative I can see.

Thanks

Jimbob

Im from Portugal, do you know if is possible trading via a UK Broker, or i need to have UK residence?

Interactive Brokers does not offer market making trading. SHOE trades on LSE electronically so, the only option is using a LMT order and also select Time in Force OPG, and wait for a filling during the auctions. It´s hard to open a postition and hard to close it.

Mr Medium; if that's the quality of advice you're getting from your broker, you need a new broker! I can buy and sell right now online in my account.

Thats why it's handy to have 2 broker accounts

Mr medium you are right the most of the time your dma order will be sitting there the share goes into auction at those specified times. So it's best to buy "at market" quote rather than putting in an order as I said before this is a market marker only stock so you won't see individual orders on the order book.If you can't get a price I suggest you send a limit order to your broker and hopefully you should be able to get some

"I talked with IB (Interactive Brokers) chat and they said that's an auction share , has only 4 auctions daily periods (9h, 11h, 14h, 16:35h UK times), no continuos trading. Can someone explain this?"

I think that is rubbish. I can get a quote to deal online now.

I don't think it's a matter of being more controlled saj3. But because their is a limited quantity available (i.e. 3%), it can be more difficult to buy/sell in big quantities.

I would suggest buying is the biggest issue rather than selling because institutions are investors and not traders so will generally hold for the long term. Same goes for the family. Therefore, its usually easier to sell because their are lots of buyers in the market for SHOE due to the strong supply and demand dynamic for its shares.

I have seen that on many occasions when trying to top up my holding; my broker will readily allow me to sell lots of shares (because they know their are many buyers for them), but won't allow me to easily buy any (because they have limited stock as holders are generally not selling any). That's always a good sign.

How does having only 3% free float impact the share price? Is it more controlled?

The beauty about this sort of company is in good times, you will still always have people looking for good value and in bad times, you'll have even more people looking for good value! So its a win win!

3% free float Where can I find this info from?

My belief is that this share can only get better with time.
Put this share into my SIPP a couple of months ago - been see-sawing since then, but now I'm up on price paid. Spread is hard to take and I've noticed strange behaviour when trying to buy or sell through HL. Didn't realise there was only 3% 'free float' shares.

£130m mkt cap for such a retail sensation is rather low.Asos mkt cap currently £2.6bn. It would be rather wonderful if this company could replicate that stocks performance.GLA

Well the free float is only 3%. 55% by members of the family and 42% by institutional investors. This is far to iliquid.

Well, im trying the same. I use interactive brokers and have DMA acess, and trying to get 600 shares at the current ask price (255) and the order was not filled again. Very very strange when the EMS is 1500. I just imagine trying the same one day but this time to sell and see the share price sinking and not been able to do nothing.
