Let's hope his salary goes straight to the bottom line!

imho it's time to get positive

As Ferrum Holdings we were an engineering company on its last legs with no future prospects.

As Digital Sport and Base Group we were out of our depth in a tricky market place and saddled with the additional cumbersome burdon of El Tel.

We now have a convincing business plan in what should be a growing market. We have money in the bank for expansion/aquisitions. We have products which are accepted as being of top quality by our existing customers and a strong forward order book.

All we need now is a little more good news and some strong buying. Anyone disagree??

Shares in Shieldtech leap 41.2 percent after the small cap security
products group says it expects to return to profitability in the current
financial year to June, backed by a strong order book and extension of existing
orders.
Shieldtech said its first-quarter trading improved significantly
following a major revision of ballistic standards by the British government, and
its order book now stands at 3.6 million pounds, compared with 600,000 pounds a
year earlier.
Seymour Pierce initates coverage on Shieldtech with a "hold" rating,
coincidental to the trading update.
The broker says it believes Shieldtech is now on track and the group's
2007/08 results will provide it with reassurance that significant growth will be
delivered in 2008/09.
Seymour Pierce adds its recommendation will need re-appraising as that
reassurance is substantiated but until then it remains neutral on the stock.

I feel very strange after losing so much dough on this baby (or its ancestors) not to be still partaking in the communal pain. I've been thinking, for no particular reason, that it might be time to take a little punt again. Or is that yet another example of the triumph of hope over experience?

Well, I'm in for a few more. With all the shootings, stabbings, beheadings, mutilations, etc etc going on at the moment there ought to be some upside soon. If not, pass me the knife and I'll stab myself!

It took me about an hour of googling to find the name of this company. I'd deleted it from my favourites when I sold the shares for £7.65 the lot. I remembered ferrum and digital sport but had forgotten base group and shieldtech.

Of course it's much more pleasant to lose money here than on the banking stocks where I have been recently. Losing money was what we PIs were sent to the earth to do.
