Snapper Music is an independent music and DVD producer

Snapper Music was founded in 1996 as an independent record label. The early emphasis was on three main areas

Recording of new albums by artists with an established fan base
Development of mid-price CD ranges
Acquisition of recording catalogues
These activities have continued ever since in a wide range of musical genres though in recent years in the company has developed specialities in metal and blues music in particular.

Among the recording catalogues purchased are those by WASP, Ozric Tentacles and The Pretty Things and albums have been recorded by artists including Peter Green and Cradle of Filth.

Following a capital-raising in 2000, operations were expanded with the acquisition of a majority stake in northern metal label Peaceville Records and the launch of a European joint venture for the Charly label.

More recently the company has also become a significant player in the visual market, generating and releasing music DVDs by bands including Cradle of Filth, Gong, and Gene and other titles including a performance by 'Mr Nice', Howard Marks. Snapper's most prestigious recent DVD releases are the seven films in Martin Scorsese's 'The Blues' series.

Since the spring of 2004 Snapper and its related companies have been part of the Morrison Music Ltd group.

There is still a long way to go yet,will the reverse takeover take place,if it does there is no guarantee that they will get a listing.So how many shares have we got now after the cva,no dout a lot less than we had before !!!! anybody

Wayneb - I have to be honest - I kissed my dosh goodbye here when they lost the trading status. I would just settle for the Tax write off if they announced they had ceased. Still it has been a long time - rather too long to just announce a write off/cease trading etc.. So who knows - there may be fire in the ashes after all..

Yes i would be happy with 1/100 !!! as i hold shed loads of these.All we can do is wait and see and hope BM can pull it off and get a listing,if not we can kiss goodbye to our money.!!!!!!!

Well chaps the only thing that is certain is that until SAW goes to liquidation we can not get a penny on tax - for right off etc.
If SAW is NOT liquidated there may be a few bob left in for those of us that hold hundreds of thousands of these - and I mean only a few bob - about right there wayneb - 1/1000 at the very least, I would be happy on a 1/100 !!! Optimistic I know.
We will have to wait - we have waited for ages already, a few more weeks will not hurt.

wayneb...here is what it says:
3 Proposal
b)The company does not have the resources to continue its business.However,on the satisfactory conclusion of the voluntary arrangement and the resultant removal of the company's obligations to creditors,we propose to proceed with the acquisition of Snapper and seek a relisting for the ordinary shares.The success of such a transaction is obviouslt dependent,inter alia, on the trading position of Snapper at the time.

All i know at the moment for sure is that A Shaw was not put into liquidation ,the engineering side of the business was,but the company is still a going concern.(company house accounts )

Can any of you guys confirm that the Arthur Shaw shares we all own will be transferred, as such, into this Snapper company. I have not received any letter yet from A.Shaw but a friend of mine who has seems to think that the liquidation of A.Shaw has nothing to do with 'Snapper' and that we have basically lost all our money.

Anyone confirm one way or another!

These were my thoughts as well !!!I bet there will be a dilution as to what ratio we get we will have to wait and see at least 1000/1.I have had a look at the accounts of Snapper(companies house ),from what i read they had a turnoverof about 4.5 million,but made a loss,we will have to see

Yes - and now I can see the wall with the words on it - it says -- it says

all you oiks with SAW shares will be awarded 1 new share for ever 100,000,000 shares you own !!!!!! (Ok so maybe only 100,000)
We will have to wait and see.
