Reading MS's last post, I agree with his views to a considerable degree.
It is also now sad to see the company looks likely to end up in Administration rather soon. THey dont even have the cash to pay the court case costs from last year it seems never mind their bank repayments .
Glad I sold out moons ago. THis is worse than Glasgow Rangers.

SHFT's volume of 827,593 shares traded on Friday was the highest since August, and it was the blue finish since October.

But it was mainly small trades; 47 in total, with the largest being 50,000 shares, which is the market size.

Hedgehog, yes fair point about the timing of any payment and the resultant necessity of funding.

Have built up a nice holding here. Really like these micro cap turnaround plays and also holding SEV, R4E and PEG

SHFT should certainly be able to hang on until the arbitration result, but a win wouldn't necessarily result in quick payment from EuroChem.

It might take time to get the money from them, although they would have little option but to pay up eventually.

So a refinancing of some sort would still be likely, but not necessarily the offer as previously proposed.

Hedgehog - Good Afternoon, yes I think that is almost certainly the case.

The financiers will see little chance of getting their money back on an win for Eurochem, so common sense suggests that they will wait for the outcome, especially given the suggestion that we will hear something early in 2015.

If SHFT get the desired result on the arbitration they may well shelve the current financing plans altogether (depending on the award) or significantly increase the proposed loan note price.

Presumably some funds have been received from kazchrome contract, which should be enough to keep things ticking over, pending a result.

I see this as a good level to accumulate buy/in at, Market cap down to only 2.5m but certainly not for widows or orphans.

The same thought had occurred to me too.

I.e. financiers would prefer to hear the outcome of the arbitration before committing significant funds to SHFT.

If SHFT wins the arbitration then financing should be no problem ... and indeed the offer could even be oversubscribed.

Anyway, lets get some news on the funding and/or the arbitration, although the two may be inextricably linked as the outcome of the arbitration will on won't persuade people to put their cash up.

I think if they get a positive outcome from the arbitration the market cap could easily be double that, not sure what their total legal costs are to date but they spent £5.4m on legal expenses during the last reporting period. That in itself is in excess of double the current market cap. The company have stated that they were hopeful of arbitration conclusion early in 2015. We are also waiting on the convertible loan notes, which once confirmed will also give the share price a boost.

A binary play on the positive outcome of the arbitration, but at the current mc of £2.5m, I believe this offers significant upside.

Techno - Yes the arbitration and the funding are clearly key here. Would hope for bews on the funding shortly. Given the current MC, other than going completely think the downside frrom these levels is limited.
